Bellamy's Caddy said:I swear the Times have given previous dates that Tevez was due to sign and were wrong, I hope we do get him/looks like we will, but I don't think the papers have a clue when it'll be. The relevant bodies are probably still going over the paper work and Monday or Tuesday would seem a reasonable guess as I'm sure Mark Hughes would want Tevez in South Africa. Tevez'll needs time to gel with the rest of the squad. Let's hope this is concluded early next week, we need the squad to have a good pre season together, the sooner the new arrivals meet their team mates the better!

Indeed yesterdays actions might have been as much aimed at him as Eto'o.
I don't know I'm not Tevez, but odd things happen in the transfer window, look at Robinho two days before his move to as, would we have been considered an option? I very much doubt it.Pam said:DontLookBackInAnger said:I have thought for a long time that Tevez will keep his options open as long as he can, we are like money in the bag for him, he will wait until he has to sign, but if something better comes along he will take that. I'm not sure a move outside England can be ruled out, he has the perfect get out, he can claim that he wanted to stay in England but the FA made it too hard, thus he had to leave.keemcfc said:chelsea are still in it i rekon.Pam said:DontLookBackInAnger said:I have thought for a long time that Tevez will keep his options open as long as he can, we are like money in the bag for him, he will wait until he has to sign, but if something better comes along he will take that. So you think all the reports about the FA going over the transfer are incorrect ?

10th July 09 - Tevez Transfer Hold Up
Carlos Tevez is having to wait before he can sign for a new club as the F.A. ensure there is no trace of third party ownership, which has been the center of high profile court cases in the past. Carlos was recently quoted as saying he thinks United fans will forgive him if he moved to Eastland's, fueling the rumours he is bound for the blue half of the City.
Carlos is keen to stay in the North West, earlier ruling out a move to Man Utd's bitter rivals Liverpool. The little Argentine has also reportedly enrolled his daughter at a school in the area, which suggests he won't be playing for Chelsea.

I must have missed that, when was it a fact that his paperwork was being held up from signing for City because of the FA? Don't get me wrong I think, at the end of the day he will sign for us, but he will drag it along as long as he can get away with it.Why let the likely facts get in the way with a nice bit of unqualified negativity?
