Tevez replacement [Merged]

Aguero would be most suited but I think this gives a chance for Mancini to perfect his tactics. Do we really need a player just like him? or a player that Mancini thinks is better for the team and his approach?

Nobody think that Dzeko can step into Tevez's boots and be our star striker next season?

One of the most sought after strikers in Europe when he was at Wolfsburg due to the amount of goals he scored and started to look good towards the end of last season. Given a good run of games for us next season I can see him coming good and banging goals in for fun.

Yup, and we've got Mario too. Just buy another back-up.

Of course, Tevez' prohibitive fee might make a swap the only option - so we'd end up with Eto'o, Villa, Higuain or (most likely) Benzema.

Incidentally, does anyone know if Milan have definitely bought Ibrahimovic yet? If not, there's another likely swap.

Yes but we still need someone who can play from wide as an inside forward with pace and mobility. Aguero would be perfect.

Silva--Dzeko--Aguero

Balotelli?
Key word is mobility, Balo could play in either the left forward position or as the main target man. It's a squad game.

Eg/.

Silva--Balo--Aguero
Johnson--Dzeko--Nasri
Silva--Dzeko--Balo

Think it could work well.

Sums up how I feel perfectly, fantastic footballer but a line has to be drawn.

I liked the part where three players asked for Kompany to be Captain.. I am very curious to who those three are.

I think Taylor has been briefed by someone at the club. That article is very pro city without being overly aggressive towards Tevez.

To be honest, it was probably the first 3 asked outside of SIlva, Zaba and Yaya. Silva and Zaba beinf friends with Carlos, and Yaya probably favoring his brother. Other than that, I don't think there is a City player that doesn't prefer Komps, Nige or Barry as Captain. Everyone would. It is common sense. He was never captain material to start with. One of the few mistakes of Mancini's regime in my opinion.

Another possibility is Lucas Barrios, amazing goalscoring record for a red hot Dortmund side.
