Tevez replacement [Merged]

Another possibility is Lucas Barrios, amazing goalscoring record for a red hot Dortmund side.
Really can't see him leaving after such a great season. Aguero makes so much sense for us, he wants to leave, no one seems to be that close to getting him and he could arguably develop into a better player than Carlos. It's a no-brainer for me.

Dunno, Sahin did. So many of these hot German sides seem to fade after one season, such is the nature of their see-saw league (Wolfsburg, Schalke). Dortmund do have an amazing team but I give it one more season before it is picked clean by Europe's giants if they stay hot for a second season. Kagawa will go to the rags in a years time IMO, there are persistent links and Kagawa wants to go there.

Aguero is my first choice too, just will become very complicated if Real's interest is definite. I think we can beat Juventus to him easily though.

Didn't Sahin only have a year left on his contract? Plus it was one of those 'I've always dreamed of playing for Real' type moves. Barrios, I think, will stay for atleast another year or two.

And hopefully we can flog Tevez to Real instead which would take them out of the race for Aguero.

the way i reckon this will end is a kaka tevez swap. if this happens we would still have been had IMO. every team that targets tevez are gonna try and do it on the cheap. no way should we lose out on him. if it comes to it we should make an example of him and let him train with the reserves

this is now the most important decision of RM's career at city so far....

but who is there realistically???????

aguero?
eto'o?

i cannt think of many others....

drogba?...he has a very limited life span now...still a great player but he is now picking up injuries on a regualr basis

villa?....again limited life span and he has already said he is happy at barca

i cannt think of anyone in the prem at all that we could get???? RVP??? could not see him leaving arsenal

RVP has said he wants to leave if fabs, nasri, wallcott, arshavin & clichy leave.
Sick of playing for a selling club?

COntrary to popular opinion, Morinho likes Kaka a lot.

So it is quite unlikely to be Kaka. The general rumor around Madrid is that they want Aguero ot Neymar to form a 3 headed monster with Benzema as the tip and Ronaldo on one of the flanks.

Ozil, Sahin and Alonzo and Kaka will be the 4 rotating starters in midfield. With Khadera, Althintop and Granero their backups. DI Maria and Callejon will backup the attacking 3.

Everyone else is will be loaned or sold. Thus: Higuain, Canales, Leon, Diarra, Garray and Gago are probably all expendable.

There really isn't room for Tevez unless they can't get Neymar or Aguero. Both of whom they prefer to Tevez as a wide forward.

Wonder if a Tevez for Neymar + cash would be on the table?<br /><br />-- Tue Jul 05, 2011 5:47 pm --<br /><br />Would love Aguero if we receive cash for Tevez.

See Bert wants two strikers, the replacement for Tevez and another. I see Chelsea have released Anelka, if we got him plus Eto o or Aguero I wouldn't be too upset.

Drogba 33 ? - but still good enough for the Premier league and a great free kick specialist.

Villa 29 ? - a few years left yet but can he cut it in the Premier League

Ibrahimovich (how old is he now, he's been around forever !) - great record on his cv but another one who may not cope with the Prem.

Eto'o - great player on his day, does he still have the pace required.

Higuain - looks a good option if his injuries have cleared up.

younger players mentioned are;
Aguero - Tevez type player by most accounts.
Lukaku - especially if Drogba came too.

Then there are players such as Lavezzi - no thanks, Cavani = not so sure, and Zarate who have been linked.

I don't think we should be looking to Serie A, we've tried before and it wasn't a success. I think maybe Lukaku as a younger fourth striker is a no brainer and after this then either Higuain as a swap for Tevez, or maybe a punt on one of the older strikers. If someone pays the money for Tevez then maybe try for Aguero.
