the only player that plays in the same ilk as tevez in the prem is rooney...and obviously there is no chance of that

Suarez does!

yeah but it looks like he is going to barca or nowhere

He's at Liverpool (you asked for someone similar to Tevez in The Prem apart from Potato head). You're getting mixed up with Sanchez.

I think Luis Suarez also said something about Barcelona being a 'dream' the other day, I will see if I can find that.

Hulk is a decent player, he's quick, and strong (as you'd guess by his nickname). He's a decent dribbler, not tricky like AJ or Silva, but more a powerful runner with the ball. I would say not to dissimilar to Yaya and Anelka the way he dribbles: beats people with pace, but not out of control.

His main asset is his left foot, he strikes a good ball and is also a fairly decent crosser. He works pretty hard and seems to have a decent attitude.

From what I saw of Porto this year, Falcao is a better finisher, but Hulk has more about him. He's not as cultured as Aguero, but maybe more suited to the EPL. I would take him in a heart beat. He seems like a Mancini type player too, and offers flexibility as he can play up top or from either wing.

From what he says in the press he seems like quite a loyal guy, I'm not sure how that affects us. If he leaves this year he will go against what he has said so far, I expect him to leave Porto next year.

EDIT: Also he looks like he'd be pretty good in a fight! Which is never a bad thing

I think hulk would work well i the prem, that dude is strong, there are plenty of videos on youtube of him absolutely flattening defenders! He has quite a few tricks too, if you look on you tube there is some examples of what he can do! Maybe he just doesn't use them much in games.

I know youtube can let you down, but to be fair this video shows a pretty good representation of what he can do:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usWDUGHfo-I" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usWDUGHfo-I</a>

I would say it makes him look a bit more single minded than he is. He does have tunnel vision at times but he's not that bad, he set up quite a few chances with unselfish play in the games I saw

I like that we're taking a hard stance, but let's be realistic. We aren't getting 50 million pounds for him. He'll probably be off the last day of the window for around 35.

Unless someone wants to do a swap sooner after Copa. Like Barca, Villa for Tevez (not likely but not impossible).

Another 55 days of transfer saga fun... just think we have three PL matches before the window closes.

the summer was quite care free until this came out. Couple quality players in, dead weight eventually shifting out. Now this. Can't wait until we wash our hands of this situation once and for all.

I think someone should inform the population of South America that they can't all play for Barcelona.

Sorry my bad, I didn't mean to imply he couldn't be people with his skill, I just meant that he's not the same as an AJ or Robinho type player with the ball who relies on their trickery. Hulk relies primarily on his pace and power. He may have more trickery than I'm giving him credit for, but in the 5 or so times I've seen him in the last two years he's been more about the power.

Not going to argue over the accuracy of the article of whatnot, just saying that it was out there and that may have been what he was referring to.
