Tevez to return (Merged)

Upon reflection, perhaps Argentinian TV isn't necessarily the best place for him to apoligise to the City fans.

After listening to Kia on SSN, I expect some loosely worded statement from the club agreeing that the matter has been settled between him and Mancini followed by one from Tevez himself explicitly apologising to the fans.

The great British art of compromise in action between an Argentinian player, an Italian manager and Abu Dhabi owners.

Was the word dog even used? Sky are deplorable, they have only printed the Mancini stuff.

TEVEZ: "MANCINI was upset after arguing with DZEKO, he turns around and sees me. Then he sends me, like a dog, to warm up again"

Very selective quoting

To be fair, we don't really know the quality of the translation from Twitter.

Kia: "He is ready to apologise, in the interview if you look at it full length, he is ready to apologise, if he has done something wrong [interrupted] he sincerely never felt that he was doing something wrong at the time [interrupted] and he understands that his actions may not have implied that. [interrupted again] He is on his way"

That is verbatim.
this changes my mindset about almost the whole situation if true and comes to fruition.

He's older than me by a few years yet mirrors the 'new' breed of city supporters...... win at all costs. Personally i'm about longevity and the effect of he who's name shall not be spoken could have long lasting implications of where we end up.... 1x title having waited 40 years+ due to this **** being the catalyst or 5x titles because of sustained, morally right infrastructure.............. guess im saying i can wait a little longer if needs be!!!!
Don't talk silly Zim. "New Breed", I've been going for 25 years. Same for many, it's nothing to do with being a "new breed" at all. It's simply because this year is a tippin point.

In your opinion, and i've been going the same pal, i just think to much pressure is coming from the 'i want it now brigade' and not enough time spent on looking at the bigger picture... the foundations are there, losing out this year (which i don't think we will) wouldn't be as catastrophic as some have you believe!

You're certainly not on your own fella, I don't want the fucker anywhere near our club again, never mind actually pulling on a blue jersey.

We don't need him and if we do fuck up winning the title it certainly won't be because of not having that runt at the club.

it is quite silly to take sides at this point, because Kia made it sound like that Tevez will talk and try to sort it out with Mancini tomorrow.

Time will tell. His presence on the pitch won't hurt our title run, it'll be if he throws a strop if he's on the bench every game.

won't hurt?????

it might if he's only there under duress in order to make sure he gets the move that he has wanted for so long now

will he really give a shit that he scores the winner in a game or if it peters out to a draw instead? will he really break his back to help our cause when he has proved that he is unreliable, untrustworthy and not at all interested in anything other than money?

in short - will it matter to him? will he fight tooth and nail to win the league?

will he fuck

will be like having ten men on the pitch

No Thanks

A couple points from later on in the twitter..

"I'm telling ya! I had to translate from TEVEZ to Spanish and then to English! I didn't know I had that talent in me!"

"Tough for some Argentines to understand him. Tougher on most non-Argentine Spanish-speakers. So...don't worry if you don't get him"

Someone upload that Kia interview to youtube. Even if you have to use your video camera LOL!

I missed at least half of the interview, and I'm livid.

Can't see what is so wrong with what Tevez has said tbh. We all know he and Mancini don't get on and haven't done for ages. We all know that Tevez feels that Mancini over-reacted to what happened in Munich. If Tevez and Mancini are willing to put this whole sordid affair behind them and move on, then that's fine by me.
