Tevez to return (Merged)

Staggered to read all the stuff he has been saying...I expected a conciliatory attitude but he is as defiant as ever slagging off the manager, and unforgivably us fans.

I would prefer him to simply stay in Argentina if that is his attitude. How dare he look down on the fans after the way he is has behaved towards our club.

He is beyond forgiveness to me now.

Bringing Tevez back is just what we need.

Tevez will help us to win the title - in fact, he will guarantee it.

We would have scored more goals than anyone else if we had Tevez in our team.

Tevez is a great team player and bonds easily with everyone.

Each and every player at City is yearning for Tevez to return and acknowledges that we might have been top of the league by now, if only Tevez had been playing. His return would restore all the harmony that is CLEARLY missing in our dressing room. His return would restore the team spirit that is CLEARLY missing at our Club.

Tevez is not a naughty boy at all - he is simply misunderstood.

It's all Mancini's fault really, but the gracious and humble Tevez is prepared to forgive and forget, for the good of Manchester City alone. He loves the Club and he loves the fans.

Remember, we have absolutely ZERO chance of winning the league, UNLESS the mighty Tevez is allowed back and anyway, he needs to be in the shop window, er, needs the money, er, glory, er, opportunity to help City win the title. Yes, that's it. He wants to help City, as they are clearly struggling so much without him.

Nothing matters more than the title.

Not morals.

Not ethics.

Not sense of fair play.

Not taking another player's position in the team.

Not double standards.

Not hypocrisy.

Not embarrassing the Manager.

Not embarrassing the Club.

Not embarrassing himself.

Not embarrassing his colleagues.

Not embarrassing the fans.

Nothing.

And, of course, without Tevez, we have absolutely NO CHANCE. Otherwise, we might be top of the league by now.

So, think about it, huh?

Excuse me a minute.........

Perhaps you should watch the foxsport interview before commenting. I understand you don't like him. Most of us don't. Some of us didn't even like him when he was the toast ofthe town here. But he is a CIty player, and if he can help, he should. It's his fuking job. Let him come and do it!

Just like the way us Blues are divided, the players will be too.
I don't really buy that at all.

And just because we are divided doesn't mean the players will be. That's poor logic if anything.
Of course they will be mate, nature of the beast and all that.
Semantics?

Can you share specific reasons that led you to this conclusion?[/quote]

It's mostly to do with a thing called Team spirit that impacts on all walks of life,in the dressing room, office, workplace, ghettos, trenches etc etc.
In my experience it counts for a fair bit.

You know what, whatever we say or don't say, at the end of the day the Club will make the decision and all we can do is accept that decision.

But whatever that decision is I shall still walk out of the stadium the first time he walks onto the pitch in a City shirt to play. I am not saying that I won't come back for the next match, I am not stupid enough not to want to see my beloved team play, but the first time he comes on I walk out. As I said on another thread earlier, it is my one woman protest but it will happen.

But we can debate all day and all night it won't make an iota of difference to the Club, it will just make you feel either better or even more annoyed!! IMHO

hope his first game is the derby and if we win were 7 points ahead or something. would you still walk then?

Yes I would, as anyone who knows me well will tell you, I stick to my PRINCIPLES. The next derby will be at Etihad so I shall be there, if he walks onto the pitch wearing a City shirt I gather my flag, my scarves and leave. Keep your eye on Row A Aisle 125, Colin Bell lower stand and you will see me walk out.

I don't care if it is the derby, the final match of the season, whatever, I will walk.

If you read my posts you will see I state that it will not be for ever, but it will definitely be for the first time the Argentinean sets foot on the hallowed turf of the Etihad in a City shirt to play football.

And if he comes on at an away match I shall also walk, it won't be from OT as that is THE one stadium I will not set foot in.

It is my opinion, my decision, my PRINCIPLES.

So please do not try to patronise me, it doesn't work, better men than you have tried and failed!!

Meh, Tevez will be returning. Bobby wanted him to apologise and Tevez said he will. Kia also confirmed that Tevez will apologising.
Tevez told Fox Sports: "I do not think I was wrong, but if they (the club) think so, I apologise. I am ready to return, to win and do the best for the club's shirt."

I will back whatever decision Mancini makes, and if he decides to accept the apology, then so be it.

Our strikers are struggling to score goals; everyone can see it. Somehow, we've managed to stay top and that's brilliant.
RagCafe is shitting it at the thought of Tevez returning and I don't blame them, he would give us a boost.

**It's a win-win for everyone. Tevez would play out of his skin (he said this in the interview?) and would have to play like never before to try and prove a point.

Also, this will certainly increase his value in the summer as no club would want to pay what we want for a player who has only had a handful of appearances for us this season.

He says he's been training on his own, and thinks he can get back to fitness within 2 weeks. We know he has naturally high stamina levels, so it wouldn't be surprising if this were true.

I used to be completely against him coming back, but right now I'm on the fence about it. I can see both sides of the argument, but for me if he does what the manager wants and apologises (he says he will) then what more can I ask for?

I'm not the sort to hold grudges. If he apologises to the club, and keeps his head down, then so be it. A City squad with Tevez is stronger than without, and Mancini has said this fairly recently.

From the looks of it, Tevez will be apologising so expect him back.

Exactly. There is absolutely no way every player will be happy with him coming back. It will undoubtedly cause unrest among at least some of the players.
Let's look at it another way; how many players were happy with his departure?
