Tevez to return (Merged)

Tevez is a **** and anyone who wants to see him play for us again needs their head testing.

As I said the other day, there are some strange games going on here and plenty of twists and turns to come.

If I was a betting man I'd wager he'll be out of the country again by the end of next week.

Why has he returned? If Mancini is determined not to play him (despite his recent statements to the contrary), what's the point? Has he been advised that his legal position is dodgy if he stays away? Has Mancini been advised that he has to make encouraging noises publicly also for legal reasons? If Tevez's motives for returning aren't genuine, and Mancini's motives for saying he is welcome aren't genuine, then surely it would be best for all concerned if we just came to some agreement about his wages, and he stayed away until the summer?

Although you've used a few question marks, imo you've covered most of what I reckon is going on.

I think we'd be taking our top brass as being fools if we think they weren't pissed at the interview the other day.

There will be a compromise imo where we fuck him off back to Argie on a reduced wage although obviously that won't be what the real world gets told by statements and the media.

But this makes his return in a blaze of publicity even more bizarre. Tevez's position remains unchanged as his interview made clear. In light of this, he could have stayed in Argentina and come to some sort of agreement regarding reduced wages. Doesn't make sense to me for him to return, getting the hopes up of those who still think he could do a job for us, only to be here for a week, before returning to Argentina having achieved nothing. I suspect some sort of forced reconciliation by the club, which is being resisted by both men.

bring me up to speed then

The missing article/picture phenomenon was noticed way earlier today. First it was pulled from the headlines and placed in the Team news section... then after a few hours it was pulled all together.

Do you live in the real world where people do each other favours and try to remain decent relationships if they can do so quite easily?

McCarthy: Now Julian, just put us out a quick tweet saying everyone is glad to have Tevez back.
Julian: NO, I WON'T FUCKING DO IT. I PAY YOU TO ADVISE MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I WANT A REFUND!!!

McCarthy: Now Julian, just put us out a quick tweet saying everyone is glad to have Tevez back.
Julian: Fair dos. *it will take me all of five seconds*

Do you mean the real real world world or the unreal bizarro world that is BM where conspiracies lurk at every turn?

Do I think Lescott simply tweeted what he actually thought in response to a question or that he was in deep conversation with his and Tevez's advisors as to how to play Tevez's return?

Is the world run by giant lizards and is Tevez part of the conspiracy to thwart our ambitions?

Stay tuned.

Yes, the world is run by 'child eating' lizards. Every bastard knows that.
Edited for accuracy.

City Fans Could Lose Us The League

First of all MODS, please don't merge this thread. It is to do with Tevez in a way, but it shouldn't be merged. Thanks

So coming into the last part of the season, we are top of the league and have 13 very important games coming up. I understand why so many of you are frustrated and annoyed with Tevez, but what ever Mancini decides to do regarding playing him, i urge you not to boo him on the pitch or when he warms up. He knows he has to win most of us over again and he will do that by doing one thing - performing on the pitch. If there are 45,000 fans booing him, it will effect his ability to perform and it will also effect the other players, and that can't be allowed to happen. The consequence's of booing could literally cost us the title. The Media are doing there part in attempting to derail us at all costs, we must be strong, and fight as one for the remainder of the season, and if that means backing the manager with his player selection, then so be it.

Re: City Fans Could Lose Us The League

i agree that it COULD work against the team if it gets out of hand but if you remember rooney getting booed that actually spurred him on to scoring form.

so it could go both ways.
