The mans a lunatic, but the whole sorry mess has been shambolically handled. Someone needs to take control. Where's khaldoon?

I don't really see what City could have done differently that would have made anything better ...
It's been out of control since that night in Munich. Tevez is clearly a disrespectful tool. But it's all too public, everyones a loser. Someone should have taken hold of the whole thing a long time ago. We can all say 'the club couldn't have done anything else' and all that loyalist stuff. But it's a fucking mess, a costly mess we really don't need right now.

There are a whole series of steps here which have led us to qhere we are. He should have been sold in the summer. We should have brushed it under the carpet straight after the game. Someone should have sat all parties down and thrashed out some sort of a deal before he fucked off to Argentina. He should have been sold in jan.

The while thing smacks of lack of leadership . Clearly tevez is a dangerous loose cannon. Someone should have taken control for everyones sake. I know you all like to call KIA 'the snake' but he's a clever man and a pragmatic solution could have been worked out somewhere for everyones sake.

It's a mess and all parties are damaged by the way this is playing out
You never seem to account for the fact that one of the parties involved is from all appearances an irrational actor. I would bet you real money a deal had been worked out and that's why he was coming back and then he goes and gives that interview. Just watching Kia's reaction, you could tell he wasn't pleased either.

Mancini interview on ssn shortly.
They're quoting him as saying "he won't speak on this again for next 3 months"

Nor ever again, I imagine. Tevez has treated him like a lamp post.

I've not seen any media outlet saying City are to blame or damaged by the incident. It's only strengthened us in my opinion.

I know thats not very dramatic and doesnt help increase the handwringing but it's just the truth.

How are City damaged by refusing to pay and refusing to sell below market value a player viewed as a petulant child?

You're really gonna have to explain that one out for me
How are city damaged? Because his Market value is dropping like a stone and we aren't playing him. Would you like me to do the maths for you? I'd say it's cost us £10-20m already. Thank god he did a bunk or it could be more. Oh , and did I mention the fact that he could be training with the kids in front of all his mates at carrington? Yeah, just what we need in a title run in.

All parties have lost out here . That's the truth.

Do you think the man who matters in Abu dhabi thinks it's 'strengthened' us?

So the club remove the news about him Coming Back in the morning, and then Mancini said he will not speak about it for the next 3 months !

Emmm interesting, so I think Tevez is due back to Argentina this week with his one way ticket.

Thanks for that f***ng interview.

I keep saying the man is a lunatic , a dick. He started the whole sorry mess, don't get me wrong. He cannot disrespect his manager like he did publically for 12 months. But city have not handled it well from start to
Finish. In fact there is no finish . The balls in our court now. I want us to sort this out once and for all.

Every player in the squad is worth less than they were last year. This is the nature of a fixed term contract and the transfer system which we have.

I have absolutely no idea why you think it may have cost us £10-20m and can only think that you are literally pulling figures out of the air. Are you saying that a club would have bought Tevez for £35-45m six months ago? Then why didn't they when his asking price was far below this in the summer?

In reality, it hasn't actually damaged us at all yet. It has potential to in the future, but as of now we saved ourselves a few million, look like we're principled and got some good press to that effect out of it.

I don't think it will be high on his list. And I'm sure he probably thinks it has in terms of our reputation within football and with the media, yes.

If you can only come back and saying we are financially weaker, at your estimate of £10m lost then the while scenario is not nearly as damaging as signing Santa Cruz, Bridge, Ade and robinho.

It's a non-event in real terms and will have zero impact on the squad if our results post Munich are anything to go by.
