It might not have particularly damaged us quite yet however it's very naive to think that the "Carlos show" hasn't got the potential to impact upon the manager and squad as being a huge distraction - players questioning whether the manager is being undermined is not healthy in any way, shape or form.

Financially there is an element of impact as there is no denying his value is dropping which in the realms of FFPR certainly isn't good news - I can't see anyone stumping up the £25mil we said we want in the summer after that fucking interview the other day.

It's certainly not the end of the world but it isn't good - the biggest issue for me that this is proving is that it's fucking ridiculous that we haven't got a CEO in place as yet, utter fucking madness.
Say we get £20m for him, add to that the £10m in fines and it's still a profit for FFP by quite a margin with amortisation.

As for the distraction, surely the original Munich incident was more like to affect us and we went on a storming run of form did we not?

20mil is still less than 30/35mil is it not? - his value is diminishing which isn't good whichever way you stack it up, the drop could be the value of purchasing another decent player in the summer.

With regards the distraction, it could well galvanise us however we won't know that for a bit and all I'm saying is that it might end up being negative - Bob doesn't need any extra pressure at the moment and we have no idea what is going behind closed doors and what the true story is with regards this whole crazy affair.

All I'm doing is playing devil's advocate but something stinks big style about this whole sketch and no clear messages from top brass doesn't help - the Carlos picture being on the site and then apparently disappearing shows this, who's running the show?

Mancini just been on Ssn and said Carlos more than welcome back and the squad can't wait to welcome him back into the fold, his goals have been missed by all.

Has Mancini been on SSN yet?

Oh and I agree with Damocles. We are not weakened by this, other than not having a 4th striker available.
He has mate.
He said he'd not treated him like a dog ,he'd been too soft on Tevez if anything and he won't be speaking on it again in the next 3 months.

Thanks. Just seen it and that's obviously Tevez's bolt shot. From the beginning I've said that whatever Mancini thinks/wants is fine by me, and it still is.

Right. That's that then. I'm actually now glad he gave that interview (Tevez) before he left as it's made Roberto's mind up. Let him rot in the reserves until he gives up again and goes back to Argentina. What a dick.

Did Bob mention that anyone who doesn't agree isn't a true blue?

£30m (add the fine back in) and it makes very little difference mate. As I say, financially, we'll have suffered more on Ade and RSC.

We need a new CEO of that there is no doubt. Tevez went off message by the look of Kia's subsequent interviews.

All I'm saying is I don't think the whole think half as important as is being portrayed by those that love a good bit of drama and hysteria.

He was going to, but thought better of it.

How are city damaged? Because his Market value is dropping like a stone and we aren't playing him. Would you like me to do the maths for you? I'd say it's cost us £10-20m already. Thank god he did a bunk or it could be more. Oh , and did I mention the fact that he could be training with the kids in front of all his mates at carrington? Yeah, just what we need in a title run in.

All parties have lost out here . That's the truth.

Every player in the squad is worth less than they were last year. This is the nature of a fixed term contract and the transfer system which we have.

Not entirely sure you're right there mate. I seem to remember some weird looking Portusgese bloke signing for the scum for around £12m and being sold to Real for about £80m.

And if they would have waited a little longer they would have gotten him for nothing, hence the value of a player is at its height when a contract is signed and loses value every single day eventually reaching zero on the last day of his contract where he can move for free.

Ha, that's definitely the MO of the other side fella.

I'd love to know who sanctioned the "Welcome back Carlos" first picture to be placed as main headline on the OS - "more to follow" underneath.

As I've said numerous times, there are some strange games afoot and I'll guarantee it will all hit the fan over the next week.

I suppose I just don't like it when we have unnecessary distractions, it was all nice and comfortable whilst the **** was in Argentina and I'll be a bit more relaxed when he is back on a plane to Buenos Aires.....
