It might not have particularly damaged us quite yet however it's very naive to think that the "Carlos show" hasn't got the potential to impact upon the manager and squad as being a huge distraction - players questioning whether the manager is being undermined is not healthy in any way, shape or form.
Yes, the most worrying aspect of it all. I'm left with an impression that RM is looking a bit weak as a result of this sordid affair. As much as it pains me to make this comparison - I don't think for a second that baconface would allow a player nowhere near the facilities had he been treated with the same disrespect. A FM should be the (benevolent) dictator of the squad IMO. Ruling a gang of super-egos like star footballers requires indisputable strength and authority. I really hope RM is completely in charge here, and that the players at least see this. I have yet to be convinced.

Yeah, I can see how punting Ned, Bellamy, Ade, RSC, and Bridge out of the door may show incredible weakness.

ok ive not read any of this thread in any detail so im not sure if this has been addressed so apologies if it has.
one transcript of the interview which the main media are running with says that tevez says mancini "treated" him like a dog....the other one says he "spoke" to me like a dog....

now maybe it is just me but they are 2 very different things....treatment suggests to me long term and thats what the media are harking on......spoke to suggests on the direct occasion of the munich match....

now tempers were defintely fraid on the bench with the sub of dzeko....that is clear for everyone to see and mancini is in a foul mood...he turns around and then spks to tevez (now i dont preetent to be any body language expert) and it looks to me that he is angrily spking to tevez........this al stems from this ....tevez reacts badly to this and says no im not going out and warming up ....and everything explodes from there including the two after match interviews

now im not suggesting either person was right or wrong....infact in my opinion BOTH were wrong BUT in the end Tevez should have bitten the bullet and gone out and warmed up again......

however my point is that tevez in his interview was describing his emotions and feelings at the time.....if someone shouts at you in a foul mood and tells you to do something then his description of being "spoken" to like a dog is accurate.......treated is very very different!

tevez no matter what should have just followed the orders no matter how they were delivered but again the media are trying to cause conflict with slight word changes...

of couse im no expert in languages so im going off the two translations of the interview ive seen and i dont know exactly what tevez said

Re: Silence is louder than words

I'm getting tired of people suggesting / prompting / encouraging me to do this or that in relation to Tevez....

We all have our own views on how this has played out, and I reserve the right to respond to him appearing / scoring a goal in a manner of my own choosing...

Re: Silence is louder than words

Just don't understand the mentality that anyone would do this to the other 10 players and manager just to spite Carlos. Ffs he is a twat, he is one player for a couple of years in a big squad and in city's long and rich history. Why make it all about tevez, some people are making him even more central than he thinks he is. I will cheer the tackle from Kompany that wins the ball the yaya run And the silva pass

-- Thu Feb 16, 2012 2:42 am --

Just don't understand the mentality that anyone would do this to the other 10 players and manager just to spite Carlos. Don't bother youself explaining what Tevez meant, they just want to keep attacking him no matter what. :)

They picked one minute from 43 minutes and blow it out of proportion.

I may have bigger laugh if you are trying to speak Arabic.

I might be able to take you seriously if I had been in a coma for the last year. How you can keep standing up for a guy that's done what Tevez has is baffling.

By the way, I'm going to predict that the best possible outcome of him coming back is that he'll score a big goal and then begin complaining within two days of it happening. He's been out of the spotlight and wants it back on him but he loves to piss on a parade.
