Tevez to return (Merged)

Just watched the Mancini interview for the first time. There was a resemblace of Fergie in him and wouldnt take any shit. I think its quite clear that Mancini is boss, and thats the end of it. If he wants to pick him then he will, if not, then he wont. In Mancini I Trust.

Every player in the squad is worth less than they were last year. This is the nature of a fixed term contract and the transfer system which we have.

Not entirely sure you're right there mate. I seem to remember some weird looking Portusgese bloke signing for the scum for around £12m and being sold to Real for about £80m.

And if they would have waited a little longer they would have gotten him for nothing, hence the value of a player is at its height when a contract is signed and loses value every single day eventually reaching zero on the last day of his contract where he can move for free.

Of course.

But that rather simple explanation completely ignores the fact that a player's worth is also driven by how good he is and what his potential is. Sometimes those factors MASSIVELY outweigh the mechanism you describe, as my example shows.

So to say all our players are worth less than 1 year ago, simply because their contracts are 1 year nearer to renewal is plainly bollocks. David Silva has less time left now on his contract compared to when he joined, but is certainly worth more than had we sold him back then.

Should that gutter rat come on for us at any stage, I reckon the best respone would be complete silence.

No booing, obviously no cheering.

and should he score... not a whisper.

even if its the one that wins us the league.

Silence is golden - or perhaps we could take some dog whistles into the ground and blow 'em if he gets on and if he scores. I'm sure MotD would have the technology to replay the 'sound', 'cos they've started doing adverts that only dogs can hear!

Wasting your breath mate, he'll come back with some long crap post as he's one of these people that's never wrong.

EVER

Tevez is older than Ronaldo and hasn't developed like Ronaldo and hence has not gained value. His contract has also shortened. Ronaldo did develop and was still in his prime years, hasn't refused to play and gone home, and had three years left on his contract at the rags - which he signed in 2007 (so was not the £12 million 2003 contract).

Some of our players will also have increased in value. Would you take £600k for Hart?

Cant believe i slept in the night have i missed anything. Tevez is so boringly predictable, the minute City or Roberto let their guard down we should all know by now what will come next

Oh, I don't know why he's leaving,
Or where he's gonna go,
I guess he's got his reasons,
But now we've got Aguero
'Cos for twenty-four games
We've been doing just fine without Tevez
Tevez, Tevez, who the fcuk is Tevez?

Turned his back on City, can't call himself a man,
To pocket some more dosh and sign on in Milan
Oh we're winning a lot more it seems, without that greedy cnut Tevez
Tevez, Tevez, who the fcuk is Tevez?

Two posts higher now.

You seem to be hitting out at me like one of those little kids who fancies someone and doesn't know what else to do.

Conspiracy theory number 1567

1) Everything Tevez has said in his interviews is true.
2) Everything Mancini has said is false.
3) Tevez would have left in January but Mancini insisted had to be a sale not a loan deal.
4) Tevez very upset at this but knows Mancini won't last the season.
5) By returning to City continues to slag off the manager but tries to tell the fans he wants to make up.
6) Puts manger in a very difficult situation by returning, because Tevez knows he can undermine team moral thereby ensuring City don't win the league.
7) Knows if City don't win the league Mancini will not be manager next season.
8) Knows that if Mancini goes so will Balotelli thereby removing two obstacles in his quest to regain top "dog" (sorry) status.
9) Only Mourinho will be appointed and no doubt all animosity between player and new coach vanishes overnight.
10) Our owners know they will be able to sell Balotelli (no chance will he stay with Mourinho) and retain prize asset of Tevez (whose wages and transfer fee don't count under FFPR)
11) Only outlay will be to pay off Mancini's contract but in financial terms that is better than taking a huge loss on Tevez.
