Tevez to return (Merged)

Conspiracy theory number 1567

1) Everything Tevez has said in his interviews is true.
2) Everything Mancini has said is false.
3) Tevez would have left in January but Mancini insisted had to be a sale not a loan deal.
4) Tevez very upset at this but knows Mancini won't last the season.
5) By returning to City continues to slag off the manager but tries to tell the fans he wants to make up.
6) Puts manger in a very difficult situation by returning, because Tevez knows he can undermine team moral thereby ensuring City don't win the league.
7) Knows if City don't win the league Mancini will not be manager next season.
8) Knows that if Mancini goes so will Balotelli thereby removing two obstacles in his quest to regain top "dog" (sorry) status.
9) Only Mourinho will be appointed and no doubt all animosity between player and new coach vanishes overnight.
10) Our owners know they will be able to sell Balotelli (no chance will he stay with Mourinho) and retain prize asset of Tevez (whose wages and transfer fee don't count under FFPR)
11) Only outlay will be to pay off Mancini's contract but in financial terms that is better than taking a huge loss on Tevez.

or he's skint and knows he will only get paid by showing up.

Every player in the squad is worth less than they were last year. This is the nature of a fixed term contract and the transfer system which we have.

Not entirely sure you're right there mate. I seem to remember some weird looking Portusgese bloke signing for the scum for around £12m and being sold to Real for about £80m.

And if they would have waited a little longer they would have gotten him for nothing, hence the value of a player is at its height when a contract is signed and loses value every single day eventually reaching zero on the last day of his contract where he can move for free.

A player's worth during the period of a contract is simply the amount any other club is willing to pay for that player.

It's little to do with the length of the contract!

For you to suggest that the most we could get for a player is his value the day after he signs the contract, as his value diminishes every day from then on, is the stuff of economic illiterates.

I could give literally hundreds of examples, but I'll stick with one... Sturridge was signed by Chelsea for £6m, he's in his last year of his contract this summer, do you seriously believe Chelsea will sell him for LESS than £6m in the summer!

Chelsea will sell to the highest bid from another club, and I dare say it will be significantly more than £6m.

I guess you never studied economics in IT school? Supply and Demand drives all pricing and selling policies... it's the good ol' capitalist way!

Wasting your breath mate, he'll come back with some long crap post as he's one of these people that's never wrong.

Two posts higher now.

You seem to be hitting out at me like one of those little kids who fancies someone and doesn't know what else to do.

See Soulboy's post above this.

Dont give a fuck if you're a mod a not, imo you have a ridiculously patronising way of posting that irritates the shit out of me.

Little kid, lol - how old are you?

Three posts now.

If you don't stop pulling on my pigtails, I'm going to have to tell teacher.

And to address the point that you and Soulboy have tried to make without actually taking the time to understanding the argument, the original discussion on value was focused on FFP calcuations. The point made was that Tevez's value has dropped since last year thus it would cost the club money in these terms.
I pointed out that all players value drops year upon year from the date that they have signed their contract to the date that it runs out. Tevez's value based on a 25m fee will drop at 5m a year no matter if he plays or not.

Thanks for making me spell that out at two in the morning because you couldnt be arsed or weren't able to keep up with the specific arguments that were being made in the thread.
