He's been absolutely MAGNIFICENT. A consummate professional who knew exactly when to bow out. Would have loved to see him stay another couple of seasons, but it's his choice and good luck to him.

£20m for seven years is incredible in todays market. Been understated for years and came up with the goods in many key matches. Thanks for it all gundog but a three year deal just not sensible when you are 32. Kovacic a very good addition to squad so one in one out. He may not have the same goal threat but we aren’t short in that dept. I suspect Bernie will be off too and sadly Kev may now start to become more injury prone. Always rebuild when at the top and pep does just that. But who to get in? Can’t see rice being the right creative answer unless we swop for kalvin. Bernie a hard act to replace.

Those 2 goals in the final league game at home against Villa & then another couple against Utd in the FAC final. Wow. Absolute bargain in today's market. Difficult to replace but we'll move on as always.
