Thanks for everything Yaya, you were the master of big games and always delivered! FA semi against United, the final against Stoke, against Newcastle 2012, LC final against Sunderland, Villa 2014. One of our all time greats!

Will never forget his goal against United at Wembley as i was doing card tricks for Natalie Pike and her mate. Ha.

Yaya will go down as a legend. A giant in our transformation and a giant on the pitch. Will be a long time before we see another midfielder like him and those runs he used to drive at teams with.

Thank you Yaya, hope he gets the special send off he deserves. (90 mins of this would be ideal)

Card tricks while the game was on??
Fucking hell get a grip a bet they thought whose this mithering ****

Yaya - the big player (in every sense!) for the big moment.... the FA cup Semi and Final in 2011, Newcastle 2012, Aston Villa 2014... many more besides I dare say. If not always the best ambassador off the pitch, certainly one of our greats on it. Best wished Yaya, your name is carved into our history!

In his prime he was the best central midfielder in the history of football. For a guy who is 6ft 3 to be able to control the ball like Xavi or Iniesta is something out of this world. His passing range was insane. Two footed. In front of goal had an instinct of a striker. Set piece taker. And many more attributes that I haven't mentioned. People talk about Pirlo, Zidane, Gerrard as the greatest of all time but Yaya was something else. He was unique. All those great CM's were world class at certain attributes of their game but lacked in others. Yaya almost didn't have any flaws in his game apart from maybe sometimes being too lazy to track back.

Delivered so many big moments for us - Utd, Stoke, Newcastle, Palace, Sunderland, even the winning pen against Liverpool. A sublime player in his pomp (TM Ron Atkinson), and will rightly go down as one of our best ever. Shame that the last few years have petered out, but doesn’t detract from his earlier achievements at all.
Fantastic in 2013/14, but I still maintain that his best season (just) was 2011/12.

unplayable at his peak, luckily we had him when he was, the semi final goal turned us from potential winner to winners, thanks yaya

A MASS ETIHAD STADIUM YAYA - KOLO TOURE CHANT/DANCE WOULD BE IMMENSE.

Legend. Completely unique. Big arse. Never forget 2010/11 when he'd run the length of the pitch with the ball, knocking players over like children, and then follow it up with a five minute nap.

I'm 20 minutes into that video and it just makes you laugh at anyone who's ever been called "the next Yaya" or even compared to him.

I've never seen any player like him, he had the dribbling ability of a winger, the build of a CB, the vision of a number 10, the finishing of a striker and the control and passing of a world class holding midfielder.

Completely and utterly unique.

To make a separate point to add on to this, the fact we've thrived this season DESPITE not having a direct replacement for Yaya should serve as a positive message for the future. A lot of people ask how we will be able to replace Player X, most notably Silva; but as long as we recruit wisely, we will survive and move on. Even if it's with totally different players.

Another freekick goal will make for a satisfactory end.

One of my favourite goals of his.

Legend for all them important goals.

Stoke, United, Newcastle away, Palace away, Villa at home, Sunderland in the league cup, plus our greatest ever penalty taker. Colossus of a player, just sadly doesn’t fit into the system we play now. Thank you Yaya. City legend.

Wow, what a goal, I forgot about that one. Alongside Silva, Yaya ranks close to my most favourite player of this City era. I know the last season or two we haven't seen the best of him but WE did have the best years from Yaya. Those lung busting runs, crucial goals, were all unbelievable. Will miss him so much.

The biggest ever Yaya kolo chant is needed. Practice go on Sunday.

Watching some of those videos, brings it all back. Tonight Yaya, big man , I'll being going out with a tear in my eye thinking of you and how much joy you have brought to my life.
And we will all celebrate you time at city by singing loud and proud on Wednesday night against Brighton

Thanks big man, a monster of a player and his ability to to boss the big moments in games that really mattered were enough to put him into legend status that and the best chant invented by blues for many a year. Good luck lad
