Edin was poor today - probably the worst i have seen him - blaming Mancini for that performance is wrong

What if today showed that his head isn't in it anymore because Mancini has continually left him out without talkin to him an directing him how to improve to get back in the team, there's been speculation about him leaving, etc... And so he is playing at his best? Isn't Mancini responsible for getting the players and the team to play to their potential? It's not like he went out and did his own thing and ignored bobby's tactics, he (as he has been most of the season) just doesn't seem on board.

Oh and I've just 'realised' something that everyone else had probably considered already. Carlos, joleon, gazBaz haven't had their new contracts renewed... Because the club want to wait and see... If the new manager wants to keep them?? Why else has it not happened? We just gave yaya a new deal (any new manager would want him).

"What if" You are guessing and trying your hardest to blame the manager. As said in my previous post I expect players who come to City to be able to put in the effort even if it is proven that they are not good enough to play for a top English Club but Dzeko doesn't put in one tenth of the effort applied by Aguero or Tevez. THAT is not Mancini's fault. He gets paid a fortune to run around yet he doesn't think he has to. He wants the ball on a plate so that he can just knock it in the net. In this league, you have to do a bit more than that - ask Adebayor

how many times do i have to say this. HES NOT THE KIND OF PLAYER THAT RUNS AROUND he likes to play upfront with service being provided from the wings. IF he was a kun/teves type and didnt put a shift i would agree. CLEARLY when played correctly he scores the goals (national side).

-- Mon Apr 22, 2013 8:53 am --

Marvin. You can't blame Mancini for Dzeko's inability to control or pass a football. So how do you get the best out of him then ?

Tell him to stop trying to play football (he can't!)

Keep him away from the flanks (does my head in every time I see him out on the left fucking wing!) stay inside the channels and around the box and put the ball in the fucking net when he gets a chance.

If he only did that once every game we'd all be singing his praises, instead of slagging him off (justifyably so, based on his recent efforts, I'm afraid.)

maybe lack of proper service is the reason for him drifting into those areas.

you cant have 4 top class striker at the same time.
everyone wants to play. But its not very easy to please them at the same time.
Look at Barca,Real,Juv or Bayern. They dont have 4 top class striker. forget about rags.

Mario was nutcase, but Dzeko is not.
What bothers me is that Manicini will never take blame in situations like this one. I'm not saying that there are no blame on Dzekos part, but majority has to be on Mancinis.

Dzeko is officially fucked now. He's finished in MCFC.

Today sums up our entire season and why we are so far far away from the rags. Too many indifferent peroformances its naive to expect champagne football every week but we do expect committment.

Last season the rags team man for man to ours was inferior but its testmament to Ferguson that his teams seem to play for him and performances like we have seen today and this season would not be tolerated.

I am sure Bobby's overt and open public criticism of our own players does nothing to help build the backs-to-wall, we're-all-in-it-together, siege mentality you need. I think it's no coincidence that you very rarely, if ever, hear Mourinho or Ferguson openly criticise their own players.

If the two best managers in the world know this is a bad plan, why the fuck does Bob keep doing it. Sure, it might work with some players, but overall it does not.

He constantly criticised Adam Johnson, and that resulted in him being sold. He was openly critical of Balotelli, sold again. He moaned all the time about not getting RVP for example, and look what's happened to Serigio and Dzeko. Sergio is playing well now, but even despite injury, it's been a disappointing season for him. Dzeko, enough said.

You get the best out of people by building them up, not telling them they are crap, or that you'd rather have someone else in the team.

Terry, Lampard etc would take a bullet for Mourinho. I suspect some of our players would fire one at Mancini.

That is a big part of why we are second. That, and ludicrous formations / substitutions and tactics on accession.

Dzeko let me down big time yesterday his work rate was a joke and I hope we replace him with someone who wants to fight for their place

Mario was mad bless him and never gave a fuck

Edin has been gradually demoralized by our style of play and his limited starting opportunities.

The blame lies both with Edin and Bobby although more so with Edin. There's not really an excuse for not trying your best no matter how unhappy you are.

i'm a pro dzeko fan, but his last few performances have been shocking but we know dezko can do it given the games he needs, and he does need game to get into the groove.

what annoys me is when aguero and tevez play we pump the high balls up to them and it doesnt work but when dzeko is playing we pass to his feet? which i find bizzare! why when dzeko is on do we not play sinclair or the like and cross to him so he can use his head?

dzeko needs games to be the player we know he his.

Dzeko was not playing well from the first minute, and Mancini kept him until the 83 minute !!!

So do we blame Dzeko for being being poor or blaming Mancini for not responding in the right time ?
