It's the one thing that annoys me, the hype and hyperbole, the commentators have been appalling, just because some have been ex athletes does not mean they make good commentators, in fact they make poor commentators, because they can't put things into perspective, what is important and great to them and the small world they inhabit, is tomorrows fish and chip paper to the rest of us, I will not remember where I was when so and so won whatever medal, so and so athlete will not be remembered that much past the games because we don't really care that much for most of the sports beyond the Olympics. Don't get me wrong I am loving the games and even watching some sports that I normally I would never watch, and I am delighted that my Countries athletes are doing so well

The officiating at the boxing is fucking outrageous. I've seen about 5 fights and the judges and referees have been pretty appalling in all of them. A new point scoring method is needed.

Ha ha! These highlights programmes are getting more and more surreal. First it was Frank Skinner singing 'Hey Jude' to the waiting crowd, some of whom thought he was Macca, then Michael Johnson has just received an explanation of Ken Dodd and the Diddymen.

Everything is about NBC and their money. It was so bad that they actually didn't show a Russian girl falling on tape delay so they could still play up the "will they or won't they win the gold" angle last week. They also edited out the tribute to the victims of terrorism in England during the opening ceremonies to show an interview with Michael Phelps.

Feel sorry for Gay. Gatlin shouldn't even be there the bloody cheat.

I'm all for second chances. However he was given his and then he got caught and banned again! Are those the actions of a guy who learnt his lesson? No they're the actions of a cheating twat and someone like Gay who worked his bollocks off to get to where he is has been robbed of a medal. End of.
