The ridiculous thing, for all they know we could have deals in place to sell Aguero, Yaya and Kompany at the end of the month.

Of course we won't but they can't have a go at us for overspending when there is still two weeks of the window to go.

Apparently several manager asking uefa to reopen investigation for FFP regarding the bony situation.

Jealous assholes . will likely come to nothing

Does this mean several managers are actually contacting UEFA and asking that they officially investigate the Wilfried Bony transfer, or does it mean Mourinho and Wenger are dropping thinly veiled accusations during press conferences? If it's the former then they, and UEFA should come out and say which clubs have made the requests and whether they intend to act on them. If it's the latter, then Mourinho (who has strayed far closer to an outright accusation than Wenger) should be asked by the FA to explain his comments and to present to them the mountains of evidence he undoubtably possesses to support his claim. If he can't/won't he should be charged (again). Wenger should just be told to keep it buttoned.
Anyone would think we were playing Arsenal and Chelsea in the next week or so!

Gosh yes! How coincidental is that?

Must be horrible being an Arsenal or Chelsea fan when your weekly press conference is centred around Manchester City every week.

It's nice to know that we are so popular though. I don't spend a second thinking about Arsenal until we play them yet they seem to think they are some big rival of ours.

You might suggest that Wenger and Maureen are voyeurs

Funny though as the player they are moaning about isn't available.

1) Accelerated investment in the club as a direct result of FFP looming large. City themselves said this very clearly. FFP directly dictated that happening.
2) Renegotiated a number of player contracts to lesser salary + increased bonuses.
3) Restructured staffing to reduce City's commitment to other groups, and made them specifically accountable in their own right so that the NYC (and others) burden can be clearly demonstrated.
4) Undertook a number of transfers in the belief that we would comply with FFP only for FFP wording to change / goal post change.
1) We knew FFP was coming and invested money earlier than we might have done if it hadn't. The club admitted that but you make it sound like some sort of dodge whereas it was more of a risk. If we'd invested less then we might well have passed FFP.

2) It doesn't matter whether it's salary, bonus, image rights or what. The total amount still goes through the accounts and gets counted for FFP. The only thing about the bonuses was we came to an agreement with UEFA as part of the settlement. This related to the sanction about not increasing our wage bill and only to the performance element of these payments. Essentially, we'd pay more in wages if we won various things and that was something we couldn't control so UEFA agreed it would be unfair if we were penalised for it.

3) Staff were transferred to two subsidiaries where they did work for a number of related companies, City included. As is normal practice for tax and accounting reasons, the part of their wages that related to the work that was specifically done for each company was re-charged to that company. So City paid the two subsidiaries a total of £10.1m in consideration of that. If you work in law or accountancy, where you do work for multiple clients, you have to ensure you book any time to the appropriate client so they can be charged for it. Had City put all the wages through the two other companies without a recharge, then they could have been accused of hiding costs.

4) I don't know what you mean by that. We prepared our 2012 FFP return on the basis set out by UEFA, which indicated we had passed one of the crucial tests that would mean we could offset a large chunk of our wages against that loss, which could then see us escape any sanction. After we'd done that, they then changed the test so we failed it. Nothing to do with the way we conducted our business and everything to do with the way UEFA conducted theirs.

City take all six points against Arse and Chavski - Look, we told you they're using nefarious means to get the upper hand! It's not our fault!

City drop points against Arse and Chavski - Look how well we've done against a club using nefarious means to get the upper hand! Look how well we've done!

Fucking Yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
