Why would the press talk about something positive like that when they can do this http://sunpl.us/6017xu3P
I'm just waitng for frank to come along and say some one has made a mistake

Personally I think, how low can they stoop counting the number who go and watch a kids game ffs, what next how many pies do we sell?

No ive been quite consistent. If I see a poor article or insulting to City im happy to acknowledge that. This falls into this category and it is not surprising for the Sun.

However it hardly proves an agenda or is it unique to our club. The Sun is a poorly written paper from front to back and caters for trashy celebrity nonsense, worksite football banter and the like.

There have been a lot more disgusting articles written by this paper including articles written about clubs many on this thread claim or part of the cartel or receive favourable coverage. Its all round trash which is not exclusive to City.

Example today, Are Villa the most boring team ever?.

pmsl.

go on i'll give you something else then. answer these questions.

Manchester united now field the most expensive squad in premier league history. yes or no?

if so have you ever heard that club refered to as "money bags Manchester united"?

having seen many an article on why young English should not sign for Manchester city as it stunts their development could you please point out a similar worded article concerning one Wilfred zaha?

*waits with baited breath*

If that article was a road traffic report it would read like this:

Manchester City had to apply the brakes to the 40mph race through the streets to deliberately avoid the 30mph speed camera designed to catch dangerous speeding drivers.

Arsenal slowed down their vehicle from a sedately 40mph to a safety conscious 30mph and drove past the speed cameras with a clean bill of health unlike the speeding offenders who fall foul of the cameras.

It's all in the way things are presented.

Everything we do is deliberately designed to dodge FFP, everything others do passes FFP as a matter of course - if you believe most (not all) of the press.

City are the pantomime villains. I don't think it's a specific agenda against City, but I do think it's lazy journalism, and we are a club with a lot of stories right now.
The press have had a fair few laughs at United's expense recently too, but I don't think it's as consistent as it is against City.
Journalism is a loose description these days, and ultimately they should be seen as marketers. Their job is to sell papers, and give the people what they want to read - gossip, scandal, intrigue.

If they write a complimentary story on City 10% of readers might read it with any sort of interest.
If they write a provocative / scandal story on us, 90% of readers will read it.

Of course. But then people say 'agenda' is have different interpretations. I think the common one, is 'an agenda against City'. I don't believe that.
I do believe there's an agenda to sell papers and pander to the masses, and means favouring some clubs more than others.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt. Football's always been this way. The big clubs twist more arms in the corridors of power. In fact many have tentacles reaching into UEFA. Always have, probably always will (imo).

So which clubs are favoured more than others in your view pray tell.

Don't forget Nick Powell. Or Zinedine Cleverley for that matter.
