Sunday Express has the foot ball reports in the center pages. On the last of these pages,I think the "journalist" is called Richardson, has 2 inches of space that needs filling. So as every paper for weeks has been commenting on this story Richardson joins in and lends his opinion to this major news-shattering story. In 1904 Manchester City were bribing players. There is no Agenda.Honest.That is his way of filling 2 inches of column,Platini,Blatter,diving,safe-standing.No.1904 Manchester City were bribing players.I repeat There is No Agenda.

three manchester united star earn their place in the team of the week after brilliantly out playing aston villa.

Re: so this agenda thing.

Have to say, this is the way I like it. This season they are finding it hard to put us down.
We have silently slipped our way back to level points under the radar (I know Chelsea play tonight).
We are the form team although what you would consider our best players, are ether missing, or have been missing, for most of that form.

We are dealing with all adversity without fuss, and the media know it, in my opinion, but won't big us up. On the other hand I think they also know
it is very small minded to go to town on us like they have in the past, because the whole world can see that the facts don't hold up their arguments.

Hence, you are getting 'nothing' stories or snippets like the ones mentioned here, that can only hint at negativity.
There is nothing to be negative about and as a result things are relatively quiet about us. So, all they can do is try to talk up, the rest.

I like it like this and hope it lasts all the way to City taking the title again.

Actually... this,

the needy ones in the press are beginning to look like morons... (they were sussed out on MOTD and sacked)

Some of the brighter, braver journos , have begun to give credit , but 'hoi polloi ' (apologies, not original cyrillic used) in their profession are looking more and more bitter and foolish ...

The football flat earthers ..... oh dear .... more heads will roll in the long term

Re: so this agenda thing.

It looks like we'v got Stuart Brennan on board going of his Crystal Palace match report: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...otball-news/man-city-3-crystal-palace-8328140

Anyone who watched Match of the Day on Saturday night might have got wholly the wrong impression of this match.

Highlights suggested that Palace had just as many chances as City and were lively opponents. Neil Warnock’s gripe about the wrongly disallowed goal changing the game accentuated that myth and then the studio pundits suggested City were slow and lateral in the first half.

Those of us who sat through an accomplished City performance that was necessarily patient and very inventive, wondered if we had tuned into a parallel universe.

Alan Shearer was the main critic, talking of the Blues sideways passing, until Pablo Zabaleta started to make diagonal runs from the right flank.

While it is true that Zabaleta’s thrusts changed the game, to suggest City were lacking invention before that was strange.

Maybe Shearer, as an old-fashioned centre-forward, was making the point that without a direct striker, City had no real cutting edge to the attack. We already knew that, when Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic got injured and when young Jose Angel Pozo fell ill in the run-up to the game.

But they were still creating chances throughout the opening 45 minutes, despite Palace defending deep, in great numbers and with strength and determination.
