The Album Review Club - End of Round #9 Break (page 1904)

Like it , I am biased but what is still getting under my goat ( pardon the pun ) is that this sound and harmony , ( yes Rob is correct its mixed and gimmicky but that's not always a detraction from wanting to listen to it over again which I will now GLS has introduced the album to me ) is that I know I have heard and almost identical output in sound and mix and melody before many years ago but I cannot for the life of me narrow it down to a single band.

its not a direct rip off but when I discover it again ( my memory is failing me too often these days ) I will let GLS know.

its nothing like the artists suggested on here to date though and not an Ozzie band.

Sorry Goat despite the bias I cannot place it above or near to my favourite still namely Fog's Let it Be.

7/10.
I put it on this afternoon again, and didn’t recognise what I was listening to. The songs wash over me so much.
But as I was making lunch the whole mood was sitting better with me than any previous listen up to now.
My young lad is called into work early so I put lunch up in front of him. He starts singing along to one of the songs. He says he knows it from FIFA PlayStation.
I asked what he’d call this genre and I wasn’t far off with my electro pop trance techno mix, but he put it in the same category as MGMT, which I hadn’t thought of.

I do like MGMT however.

Blimey, I didn't think this album was that bad it might take bottom spot! :)

I'll have to go with a classic next time to boost my figures up ha ha! :)

Sorry not for me.One listen enough.
Same mark this week as I seem to be making most weeks recently.
2/10.
Same here.
Generic techno style Pop, heavily processed vocals, drum machines, sequenced synths. It almost feels like someone wrote a software programme to make an album.
I can dig that people like it (my wife would :)) But nothing for me here. I just dont like it.
Sorry Goat old chap.

3/10
