If Pep wanted to put out a bog standard team to play Sunderland, playing bog standard, safe, football, like Mourinho would do, he could put one out, full of top players.

He has been brought in to 'do his thing' which means something competely different to the normal way of playing & players who have not done it before will have to learn it, new signings or old. And they can't nail it in 3 pre season games. Most work will be done in training & most of it during the season.

We just have to hope we can get somewhere in the ballpark in the early part of the season. I think this time next year will be the real Guardiola team & he will then know himself exactly which signings he needs to get us there.

thats an over exaggeration of what people are saying to try and support your argument

kolorov, fernando, mangala are weak points and should be gone (i would include navas in that but others would disagree and it seems like Pep does as well so lets just see on that)

the ageing of Zabba is an issue but one that any city fan will put up with even if it does cause us issues on the pitch

Kompanies injury issues are a concern for everyone hence the need for an extra centre half - blatantly obvious/undeniable and a clear priority yet to be sorted (though hopefully it will)

relying on the youngsters (especially garcia, tosin nd the young lads at fullback ) could go either way...all look like great prospects but as to the question of are they good enough yet i think Pep clearly answered that in his comments about Tosin

Nobody who doesn't have to start in the team is a 'weak point'. If Fernando was to start it would only he because Pep picked him. Same with Zaba or Kolarov. We don't have to start any of them all season if we don't want.

People are just panicking for the sake of it & once again writing off al the kids as being shit & no use. But they aren't shit & some may be better than some of the signings peope are whinging about.

Delph and Fernando, aren't first choice but still better than Fellaini and Carrick, so more than good enough for me. No question we have enough cover for Aguero , especially if he only misses the 8 or so games he normally misses in a season.

Don't care if they are better than fellani or carrick...neither of those two would get into our team and neither should fernando or Delph

I kind of agree but as I'm sure others have said it's easy to imagine the response if Pellers had ever selected Kolorov as a CD even in training. My
faith in Pep is in no way diminished but you surely must admit that a pairing in the heart of defence of Fernando and Kolorov is bizzare to say the least.

I'm guessing you are talking about A Garcia instead of fernando and the young lads at fullback

Id be more than happy with the young lads at fullback but Garcias role is so pivotal that I think a slower intro will be needed rather than throwing him in at the deep end (especially against the stronger teams).
