do you not think that even looking at the team perform last year and knowing how pep plays it was clearly obvious that some players would not fit....i think its blindingly obvious even before the transfer window opened/even last season when pep was first announced.

To not do something about key areas of the first team that are going to struggle hugely with pep wanting to play a certain way isn't good enough for me.....

We know that Txixi et al has had at least from last february to prepare for this (probably longer than that) and the problem with the fullbacks isn't being solved, the problems with needing at least one centre half (potentially needing 2) is only just being solved (when Pep said he would like to have his players in time to train with them) and an overhaul of the central midfield area is only half complete.

Without knowing who's available, who the club wanted, who Pep wanted, you're in absolutely no position to be talking about what is or isn't good enough. Saying asinine things like central midfield is only half complete is a waste of time again, because you've not got the FIRST CLUE what Pep actually wants to do with CM. Maybe he likes Garcia enough that he doesn't want to sign anyone. Maybe the player he wants isn't available until next summer. Maybe he's going to come out of retirement and replace Toure himself.

Really some of the complaining and general negativity is just hilarious. It's like you lot live on a different planet. BTW, how is the weather on planet Real Madrid :)

But that is your view. The club have obviously known for some time that pep was coming. Do you honestly believe they would be so negligent to not consider his wishes before he arrived. Personally, I think your over reacting as the season hasn't yet started but your coming over as if the season is already a struggle

What would you suggest should have been done and how easy would you think it would have been. Not looking to wind you up, but you make it sound like the club are run by idiots

As a fan i have every right to comment on what i think is right and as its on a forum I'm in the position to do so

I have equally as such clue as you do so i have every right to comment...if you don't like it fair enough but that is your problem not mine. All you do is jump on other posters on this forum who don't tow the party line....thats upto you and again your issue if you don't like it......

regardless of what you say i will continue to have my opinion and post them whether you like it or not and if you don't then its unto you to deal with that.

I will discuss football with you all day but unfortunately you don't give many opportunities for people to do that with your aggressive nature in which you post so I don't bother (My problem not yours)

maybe one day we can actually discuss what is happening at the club we both love instead of you just coming out so defensive.....but thats upto you i am more than happy to continue discussing with others and ignore you...either or is fine with me

Have a lovely day Billy

It was blindingly obvious that many of our players did not do well in last year's team, but nobody looked truly gash and none of them have obviously disruptive characters. No player was struggling with basic ball retention, passing. Even the worst performing players had a reason to blame the system they were being asked to play for their diminished performance. And each of those players has clear upside. If Pep had come in and immediately forced everyone not perfect to move their locker and go play with the reserves until they find a new club, what message would that send to everyone? Imagine one of the under performers can ignite and reach a new level. It would be inspirational to all the other players. Look at what's happening to Delph! Pep is stamping his authority as a coach and a leader. I love that he's giving players a chance to prove themselves rather than doing a Mourinho and just buying some short term results.

On top of that, it gives City so much more leverage to sell players they know they don't want for a better price. If we'd been in wholesale dumping mode, it would have meant we had no leverage in the market.

I am sure they have considered his wishes but whether they have failed or pep has failed to see the scale of the job infant of him I don't know....whatever the answer something hasn't been done that has been needed to be done (at least one centre half..potentially 2, 2 central midfielders and at least one left back - as of now we are part of the way there but still a way to go - and Im not even going into the Joe Hart situation as I think he is good enough but many would disagree with me but you could add GK to the list as well)

Like I've said a few times now....2 weeks left....work to do

many would argue that Yaya was disruptive (i don't know the truth in that)

I would say kolorv is a liability with no clear upside (his attacking potential is vastly overrated).....I would also say delph was woeful in the games he played (though admittedly out of position)

Im not talking about putting them in the reserves but i think making it clear to players they are not in the plans would make some do more about finding other clubs...the constant playing of Kolorov makes me think that he isn't going anywhere (though i guess you could argue that its putting him in the shop window)

It's beyond belief that this huge squad of expensive stars is being made out as a plie of shit.
They invited this criticism by having an arse-clown attitude to last seasons PL campaign. Like it or not, a lot of them have got things to prove to us now.

And they can fuck off showing that stupid pre-match "We play for you" video before our home games. I don't want to see it again until I see them running through brick walls for our club.
