is it just me or does anyone else feel that this should be it and we should be coming home now and that the ODIs should have been before the tests? just to me seems like this is the biggest high possible yet now we have to drag ourselves through pointless ODIs...

It would have been better for us if your lot went home before the tests.

yay, are we almost completely fixed now or are there still some issues that need some work on?

There's one big one and a few smaller ones. Might need a night of downtime sometime next week or something to get it sorted.

Nah. I seriously think the Ashes should be downgraded to a 3 match competition, such is the vast gulf in class, and the urn should be handed over to India!

Yeah, I'm positive that our team is shite. Not too many positives to come out of this series I'm afraid. Totally outcalssed in all areas. The current England squad will be No. 1 soon enough, and should dominate for some time with that squad. We need to get rid of the passengers and start blooding the youngsters. Unfortunately it's harder to get out of the Australian team than it is to get into. Katich, Clarke, Ponting need to go. Unfortunately at the moment there aren't any players on the radar to replace them.

That's the problem mate, we're playing pyjama cricket in the tests. It might be OK to go out and hit 30 off as many balls in a ODI or that 20/20 crap but it's not how you play test cricket. Test cricket is about not getting out, not seeing how many runs you can get in the shortest time. None of the current test side with the exception of Hussey has any footwork, or any idea of just watching balls outside the stumps go through to the keeper. Back to the drawing board.
