without a dream

You'll have seen more of him than me, but the difference for me from when he was last in the test team, is with his high back lift a la Gooch, not only means he's standing taller but he seems more steady as well, with less movement. He's not orthodox but I think he has a good enough technique for number 5, he also has the minerals in tight positions as we have seen before.
Yep it's serving him well. Lot's of people will look at that as a weakness though, and try and york him which then brings into play his other obvious 'weakness' that he plays across his pads (which is why everyone was hollering for him to be dropped last time). He's good enough that it doesn't matter though but I'm sure when he's lbw or gets his off peg knocked back they'll hone in and overanalyse them. I think he's a mature enough, confident enough cricketer to shrug it off though now and play his own game and tell the Loughborough lot to fuck off, he'll score a lot of very quick runs in all sorts of horrible conditions, he'll also make some low scores with frustrating shots, that's just who he is.
