Honestly I would pick west ham
They are playing the best right now
Plus I don't know if we're getting another point this year?

We have so many fickle fans posting on this forum, it is quite humorous. We are one good performance and win away from the tide turning and many changing their viewpoints again. The CC final was a classic example as when Willie was announced, Pellers was the worst manager in the universe ever, a few hours later he was a genius.

Those that have enlisted themselves in the "end is neigh" club, you must really be suffering at the moment, but who know's what's around the corner?

As I say, one decent performance and result away
certainly need to win at Bournemouth on the 2nd thats for sure.

Fickle? I'll still be at every home game supporting whatever the season entails. Coming on here and voicing dissatisfaction is a bit different than being in the stadium calling them shite or whatever.
Your top blue act wore thin a long time ago. Now that's humourous.

Never claimed to be a top blue. But I have supported this club for over 50 years and have learnt to take the rough with the smooth. Pity you and others struggle with not being able to cope when things are not rosy.

I find it funny these names given to us who choose to swim against the tide of negativity...happy clapper, Miss Guided, Top Blue wannabee, blind, scared of change, thick, stupid, no idea of tactics, Pellers lover, rag, wum etc etc etc. As far as City goes the glass will always be half full...for me & a few others...& that's the way I'll keep my thinking thanks very much.

It's the fact that we've got arguably our greatest squad ever and they're failing to deliver week in week out which is the problem. It's funny how all the years when we were shit myself and others didn't get to down about it. We know what we were and it mattered not a jot. Now we've finally got ourselves up at the top echelons of the game, to see it pan out how it has this last 18 months is disappointing. We've a lame duck manager and players who seem to have regressed ar an alarming rate. The match day experience isn't as enjoyable as it once was. That's not coping because things aren't rosy, it's just being honest with ourselves that we've not delivered far too often.

I agree, but a lot on here seem to be stamping their feet and crying "It's not fair".

I think by alot of comments and feelings the excitement is next season and we all know this year seems a lost cause. We have the best manager in world football coming which is helping for me to stay positive about a dissapointing season.

Some fair comments. I would argue though that "the greatest squad" is a bit of a myth. On paper, we look to have a terrific squad but many like to reminisce back to a couple of seasons ago when we were the muts nuts. As you rightly point out, many players have regressed (you and many others would point to Pellers for that), I believe there is some truth in that, but also, some have gone past their sell by date and others have had poorer attitudes. IMHO injuries have played a massive part in our shortcomings this season, and with Pellers self announcing his own P45 earlier, it's not surprising things are looking bad at the moment.

Not sure we have reached the top echelons. I believe we have had foreplay, but not quite climaxed there yet

At the end of the day, we are all on the same side and rooting for us to get where we all want to be. I personally believe pep is a significant upgrade, but do believe he will struggle in his first season, and not because of what he is inheriting from Pellers, but because of the players we have not being in their prime anymore. If he brings in more than 4 or 5 newbies, it will take time for a new team to bed in, particularly with the disruption of the Euros.

I also agree, the matchday experience has been a lot poorer this season.

As many have said we haven't refreshed our squad with the right players and the signs were there 19 months ago if not prior.

Having said all that if MP has had a worse 2 years of football in terms of his own performance in his career than the past two given he has time again gone in the record as saying he is working with the best squad in the premiership then its fair to say the supporters of the team he was in charge would have been happy for him to be moved on.
