Before it came out on DVD and before YouTube, I hooked my video up and recorded it on tape so I could listen to it on my walkman. Brilliant.
I rented it on DVD couple a months ago, couldn't believe how good it was, I saw it at the pictures back in the 70s, at the Apollo

Which two
Floyd albums did you think were from the 60s as their best?

Saucerful of Secrets and Piper. Slightly off topic, Syd Barretts solo albums I also own and I still listen to them a lot. Criminally underlooked.
I also have both Secrets/piper but much prefer Meddle and Dark Side, probably because of when I first heard of them

I don't know which decade it as, but the one that brought us the Velvet Underground, Led Zeppelin, Kraftwerk, The Stone Roses, The Eels, The Human League, Grandaddy, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, The Fall, Joy Division etc, etc, etc......

Yeah. First one I heard was dark side so I went out and bought relics on vinyl. Much preferred their early stuff first so I'm with you on that.

Think you're the first person to mention Ska on this thread?

Good shout, and it spans many decades, my faves probably seventies, but it's all good.

I'm split between the late 80s and early 90s

In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
"Let there be HOUSE!"
and house music was born.
