I don't think it's fair to include the 10's, 00's and even the 90's stuff in debates like this because it hasn't really had chance to settle down.

The Velvet Underground, for example, were unheard of until 1975 but are now a highly influential art rock band with t-shirts, albums and singles selling even today.

Give something time before you slag it off.

Bloody good answer mate.

Also, to dismiss all this new fangled electronicky beepy beepy stuff the kids on the street are into is a bit short-sighted, if they like it, then it's doing it's job just the same as some dusty old Pink Floyd bore fest.

Smiley face.
It is a bloody good answer, and I share your sentiments as well.

I somehow doubt that Damocles and Nijinsky will have anything to say about it, though.

You don't have a fucking clue what my music collection consists of, you boring bedwetting attention-seeking little virgin.
So why don't you just flounce off in a hissy fit again, ask the moderators to ban you permanently next time, and do us all a favour?

WHERE have I said ONCE that I know what's in your music collection? WHERE? TELL ME.

You've misunderstood my point completely. I know you're into Crystal Castles and stuff like that, we've even talked about going to the same gig once or twice.

I think every decade has had some good music. The sixties were the best though in my opinion, not only did you have all the great rock, the poppy stuff was brilliant, then you had all the great motown and rhythm and blues. I just think the artistic explosion in that decade puts it ahead of any other decade.

I'd be interested to know when and why people started believing decades need apostrophes.
I tend to do it when I believe I'm talking about something belonging to that decade.

Like, "the 90s" would be different to "those clothes are so 90's".

Shouldn't that be " those clothes are so 90s' " though?
