Some would argue that makes the Prem worse.

And i would be one of those but thats not the question - watched the Seville game yesterday almost fell to fookin sleep - the physical aspect of the prem does indeed tend to be a leveller and makes it more competative
The question was does it make the Prem worse and you said you agreed it does. Just because it's more even doesn't make it more entertaining.

La Liga is the SPL with class.
The Budesliga is a competitive PL.
The PL is crash, bang, wallop with bits of football thrown in.
Serie A is drwing in corruption.
The French league is terrible.

So for me.

Bundesliga
PL
La Liga
Serie A
La French League.

I could not watch La Liga week in week out - with players falling over at the slightest touch and the football has become a non contact sport its so frustrating - so for me the Prem is what i prefer BUT for the football purists La Liga has the best players albeit in only a few teams hence why i said La Liga first - Messi - Kaka - Villa - Xavi etc.

For me i would prefer the prem but with the players on offer in La Liga for me the league edges it but i have to be selective in which games i watch whereas i watch most Prem games - Wigan - Blackburn and Wolves apart.

Depends how you like your football - as i said the Prem is more competative

I watch a lot of La Liga and it's hands down the best in Europe.

Rubbish imo.

Real and Barca are the best clubs in the world and Atletico are quite good, but the rest is not as good as their equivalent in the Premier League.

Look at Valencia and Sevilla now, they are crap.

I guess he means that like SPL the top two clubs Barca and Real are fookin miles ahead of all the other teams

Premier League, hands down.

Everton can finish in the top 4 in Spain, common. Not much competition going on there mate.

If KentheLandlord was saying La Liga is the SPL with class as he claims only 2 teams ever challenge for the title - which I'm guessing he is - then let's look at the stats.

Only 3 teams have won the PL in the last 10 years - the Rags, Chelsea and Arsenal. With 20 teams in the league that means 15% of the teams have won it.

La Liga is exactly the same. Valencia, Barca and Real have all won the league in the last 10 years. Again there are 20 teams in the league so 15% have won it.

The SPL has had 2 winners in the last 10 years. With 10 teams it that means that 20% have won the league so technically the SPL is the most competitive league out of the 3.

Maths can't be wrong. lol

I cannot stand La Liga. There are only really two teams in it, and the quality of football is high from the top teams but the game is so slow and there is no physical contact allowed at all. The Prem is exceptional in its fast pace and tough physical game. Something the refs are trying to ruin. The English game is all about the strong physical side and the quick and technical side as well. The English game demands the most, which is reason 1 why we never do well as a national team in major tournaments in my opinion. The players always seem more tired than other nations as they have had to endure the most competitive league (i mean that in a sense that games are competitive even when results aren't always) a team always battles hard. The best player for England in a major tournament pre-South Africa has been Owen Hargreaves and before that Rooney and Owen both who were young and burst on the scene.

I agree with all the points about the Bundesliga however, and think aside from overall quality of players it does top the prem. When you look at the Prem now with Chelsea, Rags, Arsenal, City and Spurs its a damn good league. Even if we all know Chelsea will win it, the Rags will come 2nd, Arsenal will be too lightweight and come 3rd just and us and Spurs will fight for 4th ;)
