Big job on for pep even though I don't think he will get rid of as many as I would!!!

That would be my list.
Also add to the Keep/in list:

Maffeo, Garcia and Roberts, maybe even Mooy if he impresses in preseason, otherwise sell him for profit.

Totally agree this is at least a two season rebuilding job. However, I am not as convinced as others that there will be as big a clear as some think. In addition, I will be interested to see how much will be invested given how much we have invested before. More importantly I would really like to hear what Pep's strategy is for introducing the academy players when they are ready. Fed up of other clubs bringing through their 'starlets' through why not us?

Because we have better players than the tea,s where these young players come through - it is no coincidence that Ireland, Richards etc. came through when we were shit - that said, Maffeo, Garcia and Unal could potentially get games next season

Its a huge ask and it wont happen. We will still have deadwood getting paid ridiculous amounts for doing fuck all next season and every season after that because thats the nature of it these days but so too will every other club.

I will just say this and that is if we dont get some serious players in the full back positions in time for the new season i will implode!

And some players with character and bollocks !

Its a little misleading in that you could take every PL squad and i will wager their fans will be able to get rid of so many players they deem as deadwood. Its the nature of modern football and such big squads im afraid.

Im not in any way saying mistakes on players haven't happened btw because they have and this summer has to be got 100% right.

Yes, the problem is that Pep's having to select defenses on a regular basis where, Stones apart, none of the players should be more than back ups. And we have all of these players out on loan that we couldnt sell last summer.

We need to make half a dozen very good, mainly defensive signings, then see where we are.

And some players with character and bollocks !

Yeah. Its a tired old cliche but its true, you need a team of winners with the exact right mentality. Sometime they might not even be the best players out there but it matters not one jot as they will run through brick walls to get the job done.

Pep had that at Barca and Bayern and he could put any 11 out and often did and they would get the job done whilst our squad just doesn't allow him to do that because far too many of them have shown under Bob and Pellegrini that its easy street they prefer or their legs have just gone now.

Arsenal where shit yesterday and had we applied ourselves 100% we would have won the game at a canter yet we got treated to basically 70 ins of players jogging around watching Arsenal players run past them at will.

Pep said we forgot to play again..........no shit sherlock!

It's a big big ask though mate, shifting even half of that list out will be a task , can only assume it's another transition season next year.

That word transition- sick of fucking hearing it!

Well Willy, Tosin, Yaya, Clichy, Zaba, Sagna and Navas are already going out with their contracts getting expired. That's 6-7 players out of that list already. It wouldn't be tough to find buyers for Hart, Mangala and Nasri who are all either quality or had decent seasons.

So I don't think it would be that difficult to ship out atleast 9-10 players out of the squad.

I know it is pretty unrealistic for a mass clear out,but no point in tipp tappying around with 3 or 4 in the summer,a pretty big overhaul is needed,I wouldn't say 16 like but got to be a minimum of 10 really

Oh and by the way Hart shouldn't be one of them,he made peace with Yaya, the same could be done with Hart

Perhaps this is why half the team were not motivated. They are thinking about futures which wont be at City. Guardiola pre-match was extremely critical of the goalsocoring.

My release list would be:

hart, bravo, Zab, Sagna, Clichy, Kolarov, Yaya, Fernandinho, Navas, Aguero, Nasri, Bony, Mangala, Nolito and Kompany

Kompany would stay of he is fit.

Aguero I am in two minds on. He is still scoring, but I don't think he is playing well. Looks very sluggish and I think his best days are behind him. From Guardiola's pre-match comments, I think he will sell him. Why is Kelechi not involved any more?

Looks a long list, but half are half way out the door and in their final year.

I can't see there being anything like the turnover some are suggesting. Might be nice, but I just don't think it will be possible.
I'm also not convinced that we necessarily need quite so many changes. So far this season we've mauled the rags for 45 minutes at the swamp, outplayed Barcelona at home, battered Chelsea for 60 minutes or so, and taken apart both Spurs and Arsenal for long spells at home. And all that with various combinations of the likes of Sagna, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernando etc. on the pitch. So I'm not sure I buy the idea that we have so many players who cannot possibly play in a Pep team. The challenge is to get us playing with the requisite energy, effort, desire, bravery, nouse, tactical awareness etc. over the full 90 minutes, week in, week out (or as close to that as possible). And that's got as much to do with our bigger players as it does with the weaker ones.
All that being said, we obviously need a few to be brought in - left-back very obviously, probably a centre half (again!), and possibly a deep-lying midfielder. Ideally, an extra wideman, too, to supplement Sane and Sterling. And I certainly wouldn't be too upset to see most on the initial list go (except Aguero and Fernandinho. And Vinny if there is the faintest hope of him playing on).
