Anyway, as you've probably not come across me too much in the music threads, I'll explain my aversion to The Jam and Madness:

A bit like your aversion to the calculator, I'm instantly suspicious of any music that doesn't flow from "the source" (rock and roll, blues, folk, classic rock etc.) - e.g. new wave, punk and all that bollocks, any British indie band led by a whiny front man. Obviously there are exceptions, but it's a good rule of thumb. :)

Can't stand U2. I was a big James fan back in the 80s, but this song is where they got into their Simple Minds phase and Tim booth became Bono. I hated it. Still...i go for James.
