The Boxing thread

Even if it was the round before he'd have won that. No idea why he waited until the very end.

Have to say I'm liking Whyte more every time I see him fight, he literally emptied the tank in there didn't he? His legs didn't have anything left in them.

Seems strange on the face of it but Parker looked lethargic before that last round and seemingly summoned something from nowhere in the 12th.

It could be a good learning curve for Parker this - he’s fought Joshua and Whyte in their own backyards, lost them both, but is still only 26. Those 2 losses shouldn’t really hurt him too much. As for Whyte, he’s impressed me tonight and could have a real say over the next few years towards the top of that division. He isn’t the best but he has enough to turn any of them over on any given night.

I've watched Parker's last 5 fights and I have no idea if he's a good boxer, a decent boxer or a complete myth. He was really good those first two rounds and was either really badly rocked in a concussion kind of way or a mental way. Whyte had the right tactics even though it ruined it as a specticle to a some extent. The way he boxes I really want Parker to be good but he strikes me as a type of boxer that just isn't suited to heavyweight scraps.
