The Boxing thread

Me too. I wasn't bothered but then I saw it's on now, and I've got nothing else to do. Also I watched the McGregor fight on Youtube the other day. Mayweather basically did fuck all for six rounds and then started boxing. I expect the same thing here.
Mayweather must be the most annoying fucker in the world to fight.

Mayweather’s embarrassed himself there by failing to knock that chump out. But he won’t care as he’s made another truckload.
Cue both claiming they won the fight and a rematch with another truckload. He didn't even try. I'm pretty sure the result was decided months ago.

My man Big Frazer Clark qualifies for Tokyo Olympics in the super heavies. Unanimous decision over Turkey’s representative.
Made up for the lad, he is long overdue some good luck. Meets the Russian tomorrow in the semi finals to try and move up the seedings.
Great qualifying tournament for Team GB’s men and women, 11 out of 12 qualified. Live on the iPlayer/red button, well worth a watch.
A great story in the Irish team as well with brother and sister Aidan and Michaela Walsh both qualifying for Tokyo
Didnt get chance to watch it but kept my eye on the results, SO buzzing for Big Fraze, his reaction at the end summed it up. What a great bloke.

Great to see so many others secure qualification too (Cheavon Clarke, Pat McCormack, Ben Whittaker) and those that already had qualified (One of the McCormacks think it was Luke) improve their seeding. Shame McGrail got beat but still a good tournament for GB

I’ve known Frazer since he was a kid of 12 or 13, he was already 6ft 2in and 16st back then so it was nearly impossible to get him matched! Think his first ever schoolboy bout was against one of the Furys at Wythenshawe Forum and he won easily. Made up for the lad, getting to the Olympics was always his dream when he could easily have turned pro years ago and he has had to be patient all his life

Going into Rio I was adamant he should have had the slot (And then Joyce took silver that should have been gold) but so happy hes finally got his chance, especially after sacrificing the opportunity to turn over that so many have done especially in the past 12 months. Cant wait to see him take gold in Japan.
