Something about the Super Middleweights and the UK just look Eubank , Benn , Calzaghe and Froch. Also to a lesser extent Collins over the years this has been the division that has produced the best fighters from all over the UK in my opinion. Some top class fighters who putting each of them up against each other would be any promotors dream.

Carl for me is getting closer to Joe Calzaghe I have him just behind saying that beat Andre Ward and Carl is the greatest Super Middleweight of all time. Also to think that little or not that many people seen the wars that he was in during the Super 6. Froch doesnt know what a easy fight is these days. As for what they do next. I wouldnt mind seeing the fight again , or Ward if they can get him over to the UK. Also the George Groves fight wouldnt be a bad fight for him to have in my opinion. It would be a huge PAY Day for both fighters in a Battle of UK fight to make for the Hearns just dont think Groves is ready yet. I think a fight for Groves against King Arthur Abrahim would be a good fight and a stepping stone to a World title fight.

Sky have a new box office star in Froch for sure the way he dismantled Bute and now last nights win Froch will be headlining another huge fight by the end of the year and on Sky Box Office. He deserves it too and I hope he has many more big pay days.

Evenin' Leighton.. as a boxing man do you think Groves right now would stand a chance against either Kessler or Froch?

Not ready at the moment for Froch , Kessler would be a close fight just think Kessler beats Groves on points. Thats why I mentioned Arthur Abrahim as a fight as Matchroom and Saurland could sort that fight out quick enough if they want to. Its a steping stone to the bigger fights. Groves chin seems decent to me. His KO last night was good. Also he has Adam Booth in his corner who I rate highly. Booth is a great trainer and always gets his best out of fighters he has. He has transformed Andy Lee in his 2 fights so far. Also you just see how highly he is respected from Groves , Haye and the Hearns.

Cheers mate, that Groves looks a top fighter and he seems to have his feet on the deck.

The fight is set for Mexican Independance day as well. It will do huge numbers. Money v Canelo. The catch weight isnt any sort of problem for both fighters. Its not like a Manny catch weight fight. What I am lead to beleive the weigh in has to be 152 pounds. Also what works in Canelos favour is there is no rehydration limit so basically Canleo after the weigh in can rehydrate up to a bigger and more of his normal weight than the 152 pounds. So for me Money is still taking a huge risk with Canelo. Dont forget Money will go into the fight weighing 146 to 150 pounds Canelo could well be 10 to 15 pounds heavier than Money. It will be a interesting fight and this will make both Canelo and Money huge money in PPV sales.

The biggest WHAT THE FUCK ever today.
Carl Frampton has signed with Frank Warren. He has left Matchroom and Sky for Warren and Boxnation the biggest what the fuck ever. All I know is Frampton is on the July 20 card in London. Hearing that they fell out with Hearns. I think it is more to do with McGugian being his manager. A shocking move. I just wonder how much money he will get from Warren if he pays lol. I think it could well be a bad move for Frampton on a verge of a World title fight now with Warren be lucky to have 2 fights a year now. Sad case of bad management by McGuigan. Also havnt noticed McGuigan on Sky for a while either in there boxing shows. Madness.

A press release from Matchroom.
Matchroom Sport and Eddie Hearn have issued the following statement regarding Carl Frampton and Manager Barry McGuigan.

Eddie Hearn “We have enjoyed our time working with Carl Frampton as Promoter of his boxing career. However, after the success of the last Frampton fight we were informed by Barry McGuigan that he wanted to be joint promoter in future Frampton fights.

“Whilst we had no problem whatsoever in agreeing purses for Carl Frampton, we felt that such a relationship with Barry McGuigan represented a potential conflict of interest with Barry’s role as Carl’s Manager and we could therefore not agree to be involved on this basis.

“Matchroom Sport and I wish Carl every success in his future boxing career.”

Shocking move never seen this coming. MADNESS.

Floyd finally fights a live opponent

Showtime rumoured to have lost big bucks on the ghost fight. They must've told him to fight Canelo or fuck your contract

Frank was rumoured to be losing money on BoxNation and he strenuously denied it. His channel looks like a poor stream off the internet when viewed through my Sky box. I only had it the first few months it came out.

Since then I hear he want's a HD channel and maybe he's giving it one last hurrah.

Does anyone know what happened with Billy Joe Saunder v John Ryder. The purse bids were won and fight due to be on Sky. Now the bidding was re-opened and BoxNation got the fight! Gutted, BJS is by far my favourite boxer and I'm holding out for him getting Chris Eubank Jr in the next 12 months.

What do you mean by finally fights a live opponent?

Floyd doesn't get enough credit IMO for what he has achieved so far. Was De La Hoya, Cotto, Hatton, Marquez etc. Not considered a 'live' opponent?

It's makes you wonder who was ducking who in the Mayweather/Paquaio saga. I don't get why Floyd would duck Manny but agree to fight Canelo who is one of the biggest prospects in Boxing.

Loads of people in Belfast gutted Frampton has gone to Warren, went from filling an 8,000 capacity area to the Chisora undercard. Hope Barry knows what he's doing because at the minute it looks like he's cashing in on Carl.

Fair play to Mayweather didnt think this fight would happen, I wonder how much Showtime pushed for this and is there a re hydration clause??

Whatever chance I had on Frampton being a World Champion is gone out of the window by the end of this year I think it was. Warren is screwed everyone knows it. The only hope he has is to strike a deal with BT Sport and put Boxnation on BT Sport for him to survive and if he has done this then for Frampton and McGugian this could well be a great move. Belfast cards will come. Warren / McGugian and Hearn all seen the cash signs with Frampton. Something about boxing in Ireland people from all over Ireland will travel to watch boxing anywhere here if its a big card. Carl has sold out well. As has Tyson Fury too when he has boxed here.
As for Billy Joe Saunders he is in with his first live wire against Gary Spike O Sullivan on the July 20th card maybe thats why the Ryder and Saunders fight went to purse bids again. I rate Spike highly seen him fight a fair bit and will push Billy Joe all the way when they fight.

Don't have a catchweight in the first place then? Floyd is obviously looking to get some sort of advantage. Didn't see him giving Cotto a catchweight when they fought at 154. In fact, here's what he said about Cotto in the build up to that fight:

I look at Miguel Cotto as an undefeated fighter because he faced Pacquiao, but Pacquiao caught him at a catch weight. He wasn't the best Miguel Cotto. He was drained. He wasn't hydrated

Canelo is undefeated whatever happens on fight night then Floyd?

This man makes himself look more and more daft by the day.

I hope Canelo completely ignores the catchweight and comes in with the extra 2 pounds of weight, same as Mayweather did in the JMM fight.
