Wow last night Macklin got destroyed by Golovkin inside 3 rounds. Golovikin was just way too classy and way too good for Macklin. The body shot that won the fight was just amazing took him out and had him down on the canvas for a good minute. Macklin is durable but with the way Golovkin destroyed him it makes me wonder just how far he can go and who will fight him next. Love to see him in with Marthinez but after what he did last night Marthinez might look for a easier fight again.

As for Quigg a decent win but he needs to fight a real banger. Need him and Frampton. Not too sure if Quigg will go in with Frampton for a while. Its clear Quigg needs to be tested by a bigger puncher. A world title fight around the corner. He needs to be tested big time. Get him in there with even Kiko Marthinez next if they can get a fight before he fights for a world title. Also again the Frampton fight was offered and rejected by the Quigg team. I know both are on different stations just pisses you off that a fight which could well be a big seller may well never get the green light due to tv deals the bastards.

I really enjoyed the Smith/Johnson fight also. Some really hard punches by Smith, and the one in the end, fucking hell I`d still have been out cold now !!

Wow no one will want to fight GGG now, I 'd love to see him in with Chavez Jnr the Martinez (if he's still boxing).

“I want to fight as soon as possible, any top fighter, any champion, any belt holder, anywhere.’’ GGG

I know he will be avoided. Saying that putting up shows like that on American PPV will get him the big fights he might have to move up a weight in with some Super Middleweights but if I was any of them leave him in Middleweight for the time being lol. The way he cut off the ring was impressive and he walked down Macklin. Also very sporting when Matt got caught up with a tangle of legs he could of went for the kill but let Macklin compose himself before attacking again. The real deal for sure. I dont think Barker or Murray would want anything of him for a long time as he just looked too good. As for Macklin sadly its looking like he wont be a World title winner 3 times fighting for it and got beaten 3 times. Should of won 1 but with this defeat he might find it hard. If he wants to fight for another he would want to hope Barker wins and he gets a chance against him or Murray wins setting up a big fight with Barker.

As for Quigg and the Brasil lad little or no fight prep for the fight. A short notice fight for him. Quigg looked in good shape but needs to be tested before a World title fight. As a fight against Rigondeaux or any of the other World title holders would be a step too far for Quigg the hardest division to win a world title for me.

I don't see the fascination with a Golovkin v Martinez match-up. Martinez is far past his best now and has been dropped a few times in his last few fights. Golovkin isn't just a big puncher he is skilled too Martinez will be finished with 4 or 5 IMO.

Golovkin is going to be a massively avoided fighter in the middleweight division now, they had barker and Murray in the sky studio last night and neither of them even entertained the thought of facing Golovkin.

Chavez jr may take the fight but not sure he'd take it in the states and Golovkin isn't going to Mexico. Geale has got barker next, so the logical step is a move to super middleweight if he thinks he'll be comfortable there. Froch isn't signed to face anyone and Froch has the chin to nullify the power somewhat that way we'll see more of Golovkins skill set and probably a bit of a war.

To get someone to challenge Golovkin its going to cost a lot of money, it may cost a bit to get him to the UK or then again I don't think Froch would have a problem fighting in the MSG or Vegas for a super fight. HBO would certainly push for it and put up the big bucks I think.

Styles make fights. Martinez's chin is solid, when he gets knocked down it's usually more down to how off balance he is when he gets hit rather than him not being able to take a shot.

We've still not seen how GGG handles being hit. Martinez would do that. As long as his knee isn't completely fucked I think it'd be a competitive fight.

Martinez looked awful against Murray, I think he'll look for one last big payday then call it quits. Think GGG would be to much for him. Hopefully Next year Canelo will move up, GGG & Canelo would be some fight.

I think Martinez is a vulnerable fighter now. I can't see him surviving the 12 against Golovkin. Golovkin reminds me of Tyszu. I don't know why either, he just has that same aura about him.

Tyszu was a brilliant boxer loved him and how he was in the ring. Ricky caught Tyszu at the end of a wonderful carrer. Prime Tyszu for me is 1 of the best Light Welterweight fighters of all time.

Macklin got demolioshed.

Wouldn't mind seeing GGG/Froch. 1st choice would be the Martinez fight though.

I think HBO or whoever is showing Frochs fights in the US gave them a list which includes GGG , Kessler and Ward even if Ward aint a big PPV draw. I too want to see the Martinez fight but he is to me fading and a fight with GGG would end the way it did when Hatton boxed Tyszu with Marthinez retiring on his stool on counted out.

Hoping David Price wins tonight and he goes on to knock Fury out.

I have Price to stop Thompson in the 5th to 6th round at 5/1.
