Mayweather will never be a great in my eyes. Boxing for me is not running away, grabbing the other boxer every 5 seconds and hitting the odd punch. It's effective, it's won him a lot of money and titles but that is not boxing for me.

this.

Exactly - Yawnweather should be his name.

It is definitely on for a rematch cos it will generate another massive pay check, one of the reasons why boxing has lost its appeal is because the guy plays for the money and does not go for the knockout

Wish Manny sparked him out cos that is what yawnweather deserves.
No chance there'll be a rematch in my opinion

Hagler v Hearns was a great fight. Leonard V Duran was a great fight. This may have been a brilliant technical display by Mayweather, but it was far from a great fight.
More action in a game of chess.

People seem to forget what boxing is all about. Although there was no staggering about and knock outs, there was a lot of connections from both sides and alot of intelligence and tactics especially from Mayweather. It was a great fight in my opinion. A lot of skills from both players was exhibited from both players out there.

It was fucking shite. I couldn't give a shit how technically brilliant it was. If I want to see tactics and intelligence I'll watch a game of chess.

Haha, great comparison. I'll be using that tomorrow.

That was fucking bent, how the fuck Baylis never took a point off mayweather God knows.
Mayweather brilliant, thank you Skybet now off to bed

I agree that mayweather is just a spoiler , technically excellent and does enough to win, no more.
but as the saying goes, it takes 2 to tango
Manny was so disappointing, not his usual self. Normally happy to take a couple of punches to land his own, wasn't nearly aggressive enough. Money did what he always does.
Manny didn't.

Lightweight I'm staying up, anyone else going bed, I can't be arsed now, going to have breakfast and watch a movie on netflix.

The boxing was disappointing but half expected it , was prob 5 years too late.

Yeah at running away, way down the list of greats.
Still undefeated, very good at what he does and is one of the greats, anyway Pacman deserves that, bastard ruined my Vegas trip when he battered Ricky.

Well as I said, boxing ultimately is about those points. You can hit a home run here and there and I guess that is a pull for most of the masses but it is all about making those connections and scoring those points.

I enjoyed the fight and it was great , with Mayweather showing his class as a boxer. Pacquio as I said also showed some class but Mayweather was a class above him.

Want to see the punch stats for this, be interesting, bet Manny's will be well down than his usual. All the pre fight talk was about his workrate, high intensity pressuring him for 3mins x 12, not 20seconds x 4 throughout the fight, so disappointed in Manny performance. No chance of a rematch, who'd want to watch it?
