No matter what GGG is the best pound for pound fighter. Sooner he fights Canelo and that be a fight i cant wait to see. The best puncher in the business.

Santa Cruz as you said is beatable he isnt a monster in the division he has weakness and Carls gameplan can change. He has shown he can KO people he has shown he can box and get a decision so its a interesting fight. Always rated the guy and the link up with Al Haymon is great for him as he will make enough money. And more and more fights will be made for Carl in the US in the future.

Frampton was extremely lucky after the Gonzales fight to still have a deal with Haymon..the performance was dire, if not gutsy...he'll need to put a show on in New York to ping interest, as internationally, he's not very desirable..

Yeah the Yanks like to be entertained, think that's why win or lose Khan is a draw over there, Frampton has just fought his last 24 rounds v opposition they will consider far from world class and not come close to a stoppage, I've always said his power is over rated and he is not a concussive puncher by any stretch
The Quigg fight was a snooze fest and his previous fight was interesting down to the fact he himself was decked twice
He's got a lot to prove over there yet

These mandatory fights need addressing, to many match ups with fighters who are levels apart. Conelo, Cotto, BJS, Jacob's & CEJ all in the mix at 160.
Definitely. Paulie Malignaggi has been comparing GGG to Kell Brook in the sense that nobody knows how good he can be because he is stuck fighting mandatories and I agree with him. I'd stop short of calling GGG p4p1 like Leighton has purely because he hasn't beaten anybody of distinction yet.

David Lemiuex is probably his best win on paper along with Rubio and Murray. There just isn't enough quality opposition in there and he's not getting any younger. Hopefully the Canelo fight can happen.

Regarding Golovkin what can he do. Most of the men in his division are avoiding him all the time. They know his power must be legit. He wants Canelo he has been calling for the fight since Canelo beat Cotto. Canelo fights Khan instead when the bigger fight is the Golovkin fight he has the reputation to over in the US so that fight should of been made by now if it isnt made by the end of the year its a shame. Truely feel GGG beats Canelo and then moves up to Super Middleweight to take on the best up there as well.

Carls last 2 fights not been great granted he still won. In the American fight he was over on the scales and found making weight extremely hard. I think it was the same with Quigg's fight too. The extra weight will give him more and we will see the Frampton who will have more and wont be gassed. You dont have to KO everyone to be in a exciting fights. Carl will get better with the extra weight hes going to go out there to the US with a point to prove. His camp will be faultless and they will get used to fighting in the US they will learn a lot more from the first fight out there. Also this time around it gives more Irish fight fans the chance to get over to the fight if they know so far out in advance.

I'm a big fan of GGG but to put Wade in with him was a joke. Wade was 20/1 for this fight, the only other recognised fighter he's been in with prior was Sam Soliman. Wade threw and landed less punches but won by split decision, plus Soliman was in his 40s when they fought last year. That's the problem for me, calibre of fighters who should be nowhere near the same ring as Golovkin. As for fighters swerving GGG i don't think that's always the case, Cotto will fight anybody plus BJS has been calling him out aswell. Imo neither would beat Golovkin, but money talks & these fights are makeable, and a vast improvement in opponent.

BJS wont go near GGG. BJS would be a backward step. GGG should go all out for the Canelo fight. Whoever fights GGG will be the outsider as of GGGs fights. I would argue that GGG fighting Murray would be a good name on the record. Murray took a lot of fighters deep. Yes there has been many fighters call GGG out be it CEJ , BJS and even Andy Lee but all 3 would get out classed.

People rightly question GGG's claim to be a pound for pound champ as there are no defining fights on his record but what's he to do when everybody avoids him.

Why would Canelo's team wanna ruin their cash cow by seeming him battered by GGG - the fight won't happen unless Canelo loses and his options narrow.

I like BJS he's a very skilled fighter and his interviews on IFL amuse me but he doesn't want GGG unless it's a retirement fight. He's not big enough nor punches hard enough to deter GGG from walking right through him.

Cotto would fight anyone but he's a welterweight ffs.

Maybe he could fight Jacobs next but I doubt the WBA would wanna highlight the absurd nature of their regular and super belt situation by sanctioning that fight.

Andy Lee might be next.

Joshua vs Breazeale announced. Not gonna lie I've watched him fight twice, vs Kassi and Mansour (who dropped him and was up on the cards before he got stopped) and he really doesnt look up to much. I guess its just to raise interest in the US more than anything

Yeah, this is a poor match up. No doubt it'll be on PPV though.

Groves vs Murray on the undercard looks interesting.
