The Boxing thread

He's lost 1 fight at heavyweight to the best around at the time. Not many top fighters at Heavy would beat Haye now if any. Joshua hasn't beat anybody notable yet although I do think he'll be a 41 year old Klitschko but it won't be by KO. When he does beat Klitschko the next big money fight is Haye when he beats Bellend. Eddie Hearn isn't daft Joshua is fighting Klitschko because Klitschko is finished.

I tend to argee about Haye he was a great fighter i have a lot of time for. Cruiserweight he had it all. Heavyweight champion too. A prime David Haye would beat AJ. Hayes had a bad shoulder injury too. So will Haye still have the same power before the injury who knows. I think Haye KOs Bellew. A fight with AJ would be great and Haye seems to have that fire in his belly regarding Matchroom and Eddie Hearn so I wouldnt be shocked if Haye goes for the AJ fight. Haye boxed Klitschko were Klitschko was KOing people for fun Haye lasted the 12 rounds. Klitschko never looked like knocking him out.
AJ needs that big fight that sets him out with the best a win over Klitschko would go that way more dangerous fights out there in the Parker fight 2 young World Champions and Wilder and Haye were AJs chin will be tested more. Klitschko wont KO AJ as Klitschko isnt able to take a power shot like his big brother Vitali could his chin is suspect. Wont throw caution to the wind. Thats why his jab and defences are the best in the heavyweight division punches and holds when any fighter goes at him. The others will all take a shot to get off there bombs and this is what AJ has yet to be tested apart from the Whyte fight. He has the potential to be a champion for years to come if his chin holds up.

Haye ran away form Wlad all fight (like he did with Valuev), and the ref awarded Wlad a knock down due to Hayes diving to the floor to avoid being hit. He also had a "bad back" when it was time to fight Vitali, and pulled out of Fury twice so no respect for him as a heavyweight.

Wlad has been in a different league to Tony, it is only team that will defeat him if he loses.

Hayes a shit house he has shown it time and again....avoids certain fights Fury x2...ran all night from Klitschko (another overhyped fighter which AJ will show when he takes him apart in 5) then blamed it on a broken toe....he is one of the most overhyped boxers ever....in fact beating Bellew is no forgone conclusion even though Bellew is jumping up weight

Cruiserweight Haye was the best in the business for me when he was fighting there a 2 weight world champion you cant knock him. Also he sold a lot of PPV money fights. People slagging him off for fighting guys on Dave well he is having the last laugh fighting on Sky PPV going to make a mint for beating up Bellew.

I say AJ goes for Parker and then Wilder before letting Haye have a shot, I can see him beating both of the former and if he does he'll be ready as he's going to be for Haye. I feel like this Klitschko fight is the more dangerous maybe after Haye(who has quite a lot going for him when you add speed, power, movement and experience to top it off) in terms of it's his first step up to the elite level fighter and keeping his winning streak going but that depends on what Klitschko has left, if he gets the win his confidence will skyrocket and he'll have experience on Parker and Wilder. Neither has fought that level of opponent at any age and I'd say AJ has the composure and skills over both of them already but they all have power so it will be interesting.

I saw Warren(iFL TV) having a good woman about Eubank going with ITV PPV, he had a point but you can tell it's always about the money with him he couldn't resist having a pop at the AJ card said it was a joke for a PPV. I honestly think that was one of the best cards for a PPV in a long time lots of decent fights for a change, genuine question have Box Nation done a night like that recently let alone topped it? Which one is he putting it up against I can't think of one that's matched it in 2016. He's probably miffed Hearn has a big Wembley date lined up and the talk of going for a 90k record.

Warren has got the BT Sport gig now more and more fighters will be offered big money. Josh Warrington has left Matchroom for more than likely Warren. He needs to build up his British fighters again. I wouldnt be shocked to see the likes of Rocky Fielding and Kid Galahad going over to Warrens stable then add into the mix a few from the Olympians as the BT Sport shows will have to be big shows. I fully expect Boxnation will just go within a year or 2 if the BT Sport gig works out this year. So expect current Warren World Champions to get paid really well to top bills. Also any big fights with those who aint with Matchroom to go to a bidding war with sky for the best of British be it Khan , Haye , Groves and Frampton and if Lee Selby leaves Matchroom him too.

Also a boxing legend retires this weekend BHop Bernard Hopkins like him or hate him he was some fighter in with the best. On the undercard is Jason Quigley who looks a real talent.
