Ignore the scouser ... he still thinks the dippers will win the league this season...

As @jay_mcfc pointed out, Joshua boxed brilliantly behind the jab, minimising risk and controlling the middle of the ring, it was a a 9/10 performance.

The problem Joshua has is he’s built his reputation on the ‘part-time’ boxing fan base, who think he’ll go in the ring and blast every opponent away, it just isn’t the reality. The better the pedigree the more he’ll have to deal with durability, which he did last night excellently.

As for Wilder, don’t make me laugh.... he’s the one fighter in the division made for AJs style, those windmills make him more open than Katie price on a Friday night ffs... the one fighter who ‘would’ of give him trouble was, Fury, however the length he’s been out may be an issue in my opinion..
Fucking hell Zin I’d say more open than David Price.

If you look at it as a complete package performance for a world title fight it was close to perfection. His weight, fitness, game plan before the fight then stamina, durability, game plan in the fight was excellent. When AJ sat in the corner at the end of the first round, his team told him he did well but you could clearly hear AJ say 'Yeah but I didn't let the right hand go once'. That was because Parker's whole game plan was to duck the right and counter so he was waiting for it all night. Joshua realised that by round 2/3 and took it away totally to negate Parker's only opportunity to win. He then just jabbed him to death and fought exactly like he said he would. He's taken himself up a level with that performance and become a much purer boxer. It was as dominating and clinical as anything that Lennox or the Klitschko's did.

I found it funny that it took an interview with Eddie Hearn after about round 9 for the commentators to understand what was happening as they were talking some right shite in those middle rounds.

Clinical low risk performance.
That show will worry wilder and fury becauae it demonstrated he can go the diatance and control the fight with his jab, 12 rounds without ever looking in trouble.
Hard to see a weakness

Spot on

I have to say it, Fury is so overrated in just about every department apart from his hand speed(footwork no, he is far too clumsy and awkward)... even the performance against Wlad was sloppy in pure technical terms... he timed his Wlad fight well(he saw he was ageing) yet casuals only point out his age in the AJ fight? Fury has never been a top athlete throughout his career, his weight for the wlad fight was his best in years and people act like he was always like that, watch any of his previous fights he was nowhere near that for most of them.

AJ beats which ever version of Fury turns up for me, wont be easy but your talking about a guy who was knocked on his ass by Steve Cunningham who's not even a proper heavyweight.

Fury has no weight of punch. He throws plenty but they are all weak shots. He is also living off his one great performance. Before the klitscko fight he was bang average and lucky with some decisions. Massively overrated imo. Wilder has a punchers chance. But spindly legs means he is unlikely to take a good shot. The man who Joshua needs to avoid in the short term is Dylian Whyte. I know hes beaten him before but Whyte has slimmed down and a was formidable against brown last week.

Matchroom played a blinder. Pick the referee, tell him to stop any close up fighting, nullify the opponents strength.
Boxing is a bent sport.
And I don't mean the boxers

Matchroom don't pick the Referee. The relevant organisations involved pick who the ref is.

So you thought that was normal refereeing ?
You think it is not heavily levered to say the least ?
You will be telling me Don King was a saint next.

There were 4 boxing boards involved. All wanting a cut from Matchroom.
With Joshua pay per view and 80,000 they hold all the aces

The ref was poor but it worked against both boxers, Parker was having some success digging to the body in the clinch(sometimes hitting and holding which is not allowed) later on though AJs power was showing at close quarters but the ref wouldn't let him sustain anything which let Parker off the hook a few times.

I do think AJ used the ref as it suited the game plan(smart really) which was to control the distance and not let him make it a brawl, it reminded me of the Hatton vs Mayweather fight in a way. I don't see a different winner with a different ref in either of those but it would have been a better fight. It even looked as though AJ used the tape coming loose after taking a headbutt(suspect it was also part of Parkers gameplan and AJ was wise to it) and a hook to the head, again smart to negate any advantage he got from the headbutt in that exchange.

I think both boxers respected each others power a little too much which made it a cagey affair, especially Parker who was on the back foot a lot which was quite telling after Higgins bigging his chin up so much. What I didn't understand was the fact that he clearly invested so much in the body shots yet didn't go for it late on. I was expecting him to at least do it in the final round but no... it was AJ walking him down and Parker on the back foot occasionally raiding before retreating again.

boxing is getting to much like WWE and its about big money pay per view and putting on a show for the fans. the biggest event is AJ he sells big numbers on both pay per view and bums on seats so you can not have him losing to nobody just yet. AJ comes across as the good guy at the moment and the bad boy basher good vs evil if you like. wwe and old school wrestling of the 1970s like big daddy vs giant haystacks the people loved big daddy and he would only lose to something like a bit of cheating from giant haystacks so the come back fight was always the highlight and big daddy would won

boxing is getting to a point where its having to sell the event and not the boxers and i can see boxing events like wrestle mania or summer slam happening every month in boxing just like in wwe with the main event is the biggest seller and the wrestlers are 2nd. its big money in pay per view and will only get bigger and bigger and if you can get 80.000 fans in stadiums then boxing needs AJ to keep winning before the big fall and then maybe AJ comes back as the baddie. mike tyson was promoted just like that good guy and come back the bad guy and the only thing was tyson took to to far and got to big for his boots and though he was untouchable

boxing is or was a great sport and great to see 2 lads having it large and the best man won on the night but i get this feeling with AJ its fake and all show and the sport is pushing for a new idol at heavy weight to relight the fire in people paying for pay per view boxing. and sadly AJ is heading for a big fall and eddie hearn on a beach with his feet up counting the money

Bums like him. Sorry but fury is a shite boxer. Hes a nobody who has bullied and bribed his way to his one chance which in fairness he took in a corrupt sport. It's embarrassing that the likes of this bum is fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world. A title held by the likes of Louis, Merciano, Dempsey, Ali, Frasier, Foreman, Tyson and Lewis.
