Just satrted to read threds when someone said naz best fighter they saw. most protected fighter an when he met antonio bareara excuse spelling. he got blitzed naz was good domestic fighter at best

Go on You Tube and watch his fight against Kevin Kelly - that fight is Naz in a nutshell.

Only domestic level fighter? so he shouldn't even have fought for a european belt?
The toilet is that way - please take your head for a shit
My favourite fight that. Knockdown after knockdown.

Can't see him doing it, but will be behind Macklin nevertheless here. Needs a good start.

I think Naz's ringwalk lasted longer than the fight!

Good start from Macklin

I am absolutely gutted for Macklin. He should of won that fight. He got robbed we all knew he needed a KO to win in Germany. Punches thrown Macklin out worked him and Sturm done fuck all until the last 4 rounds. I am so fucking pissed off with this I had Macklin by 1 at the least to 2 rounds. Macklin is a world class fighter now should be champion but for a home town decision. I hope he gets a rematch somewhere outside of Germany even in the US as the fight was the fight of the year so far. Heartbroken for Macklin.

He got robbed, yet you only had him up by a point. What?

1 at the least in Germany to 2 points anywhere else in the World. Sturm is his own promotor so I would guess the judges dont want to go against him but still what a cracking fight it was. If that fight was in the US Macklin would of got the decision simple really.

It was a close fight, where unsurprisingly the champion was given the nod. Nothing like a robbery though. Macklin will get more chances after that showing.

I wouldnt say that to be honest he will be avoided because most would of seen him as the more argressive of the 2 fighters and in the Vegas that normally means he would get the decesion. Yes Sturm's shots were eye catching just thinking about the opening 7 rounds you would be hard not to give Macklin the majority if not all just for his work rate. Any of the closer rounds fair enough crowd behind the home fighter it was always going to go to Sturm. The remaining rounds would be a lot closer but he was never out worked. Would of loved to know how many punches was thrown and how many were landed in the fight.

I'm still not seeing how it was a robbery though. We're both agreeing that it was a close fight.

there was noway stern won
its just super fixed cos he is the fckin home champion.

total joke

boxing = shite
Well I had Sturm* by a round and even Sky had it down as a draw. Macklin was punching thin air most of the time, with Sturm landing the cleaner, quality shots. But as I said, close fight that could've gone either way.

A robbery would be Chavez vs Whitaker. That wasn't a robbery, not even close.

Conor put it this way. If the result was the other way. I dont think there would of been much of a uproar on some of the boxing sites about the judges if Macklin got the decision. Its not only in Germany were this happens but it is hard to see a fella like Macklin go on the front foot and out work the home town champion for long periods of the fight yet on 2 cards get beaten by 4 rounds.

Who had you got it too by the way? Sturm has been involved in some of these decisions before and got the home town decision. At times I wish the judges were away from ringside and scoring the fight no crowd influence then you might see better scoring all round.

A robbery would've been Macklin clearly winning the fight by a good 8-9 rounds, dominating the fight still and not getting the decision. You had Macklin by one, I had Sturm by one, everyone scored the fight close. Seems like any close fight is deemed a robbery these days.
