The Boxing thread

I enjoyed to two main fights on Saturday the Ricky Burns fight was a bit bobbins i really don't enjoy watching him since his pasting off Crawford. Was impressed by Rose's performance he took some big shots and came through them even with his problem nose that Andrade inflicted i heard he is going to see a doc about some surgery. Hopefully Rose will get some of his confidence back and go again as he is a likeable fighter with a lot of heart. I said earlier in the thread i think Campbell is the best Brititsh lightweight and nothing has changed that thought IMHO the only one who could give him a go is Crolla but i still think Campbell would get that nod there.

Luke is looking good but to say he is the best British lightweight is crazy. You got 1 World Champion in Terry Flanagan who is unbeaten if he was with Matchroom he would be getting more and more media coverage. Terry might not have the greatest power but he is the best in the UK. I think for Luke a fight for him against Scotty Cardle for the British title should be made next. There are fighters out there already from British who are close to World titles and I can only see 1 fighter Luke beats maybe 2 as of now and thats Derry Mathews and maybe Kevin Mitchell but think Mitchells power might be a fight for year or 2 years time. If I was looking after Luke fight with Cardle next for British title see how he does then a fight with Derry and then Kevin but just cant see it being a easy run to being the best in the UK for a long time.

Shit I totally forgot about Flanagan but i huess that's what being a Boxnation fighter does to you, maybe i'm a little gung ho with the best tag then but he will win a world title and it wont be one either.
He beats Mitchel,Cardle and Matthews IMHO

Don't know what that last fight took from Mitchell but I don't think Campbell beats him YET
Like someone said about Smith v Abraham rematch, I don't think Crolla or Mitchell will find that level of performance again and the other guy will perform better imo, hope I'm wrong as I feel it was there big chance of a world title and feel both got a raw deal

I think Campbell beats Mitchell and Crolla right now the one im not sure about is Terry Flanagan who i rate very highly . British boxing is buzzing at the moment some great fights to be made from featherweight to heavyweight should be a great few years for the fight fans . Lets hope all these different promoters and managers can get their heads together and get these fights sorted .

When was the last Warren v Eddie Hearn fight?? IF you look at it now even in lightweight if 1 of the Matchroom duo of Mitchell or Crolla wins then that sets up a unification fight between them and Terry Flanagan. Thats a hard call and fight to make as most British fight promotors have beef with Hearn robbing there stars. In a ideal world Sky would go out and say they want this fight made and make it a co promotional then it might get done but at the moment with Matchrooms deal with sky that wont happen.
