The Boxing thread

The little roll of belly fat just makes her seem more attainable.

She fell of the radar fast as soon as her Heroes stint was done, a shit show i may add.

I can't believe that fella was champ for so long, personally i would have that marked with a * and that * is "there was literally nobody close to decent for him to fight all that time, essentially the division was dead". I really don't get all that could not suss him bollocks, he has a chin, try and fucking hit it you useless wimp.
He reminds me of Audley Harrison whose total career punches thrown you can count on one hand. A joke of an ex champion, a total joke.
Someone in this thread said he has lived of fighting no marks with a shorter reach than him, they were spot on, thsi fella was a complete fraud.

I may lose but no way would i be worried about fighting that Klitschko fella, he is as scary as a kitten. Work your opponent out all you like but you ain't gonna do shit unless you get stuck in. I am finding myself getting angry at how fucking pathetic he is and how the gimp had it sweet for so long, glad he has been put out of his missery the misserable boring turd.

The end result of this fight for me is just showing how fucking shit it is tbh. Fair play to this Fury fella but he is no all time great watching him.
It was a boring as fuck fight. Even when the sport was dropping off a bit towards the end of the 90's this fight would have been a stocking filler to the main event at best.

That Anthony Joshua could be decent and De Gale is decent but i just get the feeling real talent is thin on the ground nowadays.

Oh well I bet your gutted. Get the fuck in!!!!!---

Five pages of folk saying how much they dislike Fury and you pick up on what I said.

As for "gutted" not even slightly, mate. I slept soundly last night.

If you bothered to read back you'll see, despite it being an awful fight, I gave the lad praise after he won.

He didn't get his face fucked in and fair play to him for that.

The first few rounds were dull. It picked up in about the fifth. I never thought I'd see the day, but klits was outclassed.

I had £20 on Fury just before the fight.
Loved it, great entertainment and now the Mrs can have a better christmas surprise.
I don't know why she didn't use the wilkos perfume last year!

Good fight, Fury 100% deserved it. Not sure he'll dominate the division though, he'll probably beat Haye but lose to Joshua, the heavyweight division is being built for Anthony Joshua V Deontay Wilder.

Is it just me that thought De Gale got schooled? countless times Bute had him up against the ropes, bleeding ear, at least 1 cut around the eye and also lost a point for use of the elbow.
Thought it was close could've gone either way but the scorecards were a joke. Is he still calling froch out? Perform like that and I wouldn't bother

I've been having a discussion with a friend from Sheffield, he claims that Sheffield is the most successful boxing city. Apart from the 4 world champion we have now and Ricky, which other champions have we had?

Najib Daho (Moroccan who based himself in Manchester), Carl Thompson.

Sheffield has had a fair few, Brooks, Woods, Nelson, Rhodes, Graham, Naseem and jones in the last couple of decades.

Add Farnell to the list of Manchester champions

Did Daho (RIP) ever win a world title? I remember him knocking Pat Cowdell out in the first round back in '86 and fighting some Australian bloke for a world title in his next bout but think he lost on points. I remember at the time it was quite a big deal as, IIRC, it was the first world title fight in Manchester in something like 20 odd years - there was definitely a dearth of decent Manc boxers back then but these days we're very well stocked.

Jackie Brown was a world champion in the 30's
I have got a book somewhere called The Manchester Fighters it goes back to the 1900's i'll dig it out and have a look for some more.

Apologies. Think you're right, never won a world title. However was a bit of a local hero.

Congrats to Fury didnt see the fight my rule is i dont watch heavyweight fights involving Vladmir Klitschko his brother was the best heavyweight out of the 2. Now you could see some decent fights. With AJ in the future , David Haye is back and training with Shane McGugian and Wilder. Fury v Wilder I would like to see think Wilder wins by ko but it wont happen. Can see Fury v Klitschko 2 in Germany again and Klitschko winning the rematch.

On James Degale it was a closer fight than what the cards had it. Shocked it wasnt closer with Bute fighting at home I had it a point in DeGales favour. Not too sure on DeGale at times he is too lazy he has the talent but the lazy style needs to be sorted. I can see him getting beaten when he fights either George Groves or Callum Smith in maybe a years time.
