Something fishy going on there... how did they sell the venue out? How did he go down from that jab? How did he get rocked from punches that clearly landed on the gloved. Haye v Whyte please!
 
Why don't Haye and Sharon Giggs get back in the ring in half an hour as an apology to the fans. After this nonsense I wouldn't go out of my way to watch either, Freeview Dave is about right. I'm going to watch fight night in a hour on sky sports 1 and I may even wait up for box nation 3 world titles, the twins @ 2am.
 
A lot of hate for Haye. He done a number on the guy simple as. Heavyweight boxing is in the shit. Haye I would back to beat AJ at the moment and even Fury just think with his power he has enough to test them. He has to work up his ranking he beats Briggs get a fight with AJ on Sky Box Office. Hell he is a big draw still. Selling 16 000 tickets to fights against nobodies that AJ v Haye could be a Wembley fight if marketed right by Matchroom or a big stadium in the City. Haye v Whyte aint going to prove anything Whyte and Chisora I would say would be the fight Haye against either not worth the hassle.

I thought the other week when Joshua done his little speech after his victory 'and lets all get behind boxing' that the promoters may be a little worried about the rise of cage fighting, tonight only confirmed it, female interviewers interviewing no marks and dovetailing into the chat 'and is'nt it a great atmosphere at the o2 arena tonight'...the final interview with haye and he used wording that would suggest a september meet with briggs is already arranged...cheesy as fuck..haye wants to stay away from fury....his excuse was'nt convincing.
 
Yeah the twins fighting should be good to see I like Jermall Charlo and his fight with Austin Trout will be a good 1. I just think Jermall is the better fighter of the 2 brothers. Just a shame if both win they will never fight each other but would love to see it happening. How much money would that make each or them. Lara has a easy night for himself would of loved to see him against Jermell Charlo myself but its a big ask. Think if there is a shock John Jackson by KO is a good bet tonight. John was in a great fight with Andy Lee looked like he would of KO'd Lee but walked onto the bomb.

Apparently the twins sparring sessions get a bit tasty.
Payed for flights staying half a mile from Barclay Centre. Still no news on tkt sales.

There is a lot of Haye hate, its his second fight in a comeback so he is allowed a little room for maneuver, and the fight with Briggs was set months ago and will be a step up. He'll need another fight after Briggs if he bombs him out, he cant consider AJ or Fury without some rounds in him. Considering all his comments about fat heavyweights in the past, he looked quite out of shape.

One good thing is Haye said he is giving 10% of the purse to Nick Blackwell, so he should get some credit for that.

Yeah as we got older we would all chip in or go to whoever's dad cracked first and bought it, ahh when piracy meant walking to a mates house and buying a barely watchable dodgy vhs xD

I just assumed the game would continue to get better tbh but like you say, no more :-(
As a casual fight fan staying up at a mates till 4am and such was worth it because you knew 2 of the baddest mofo's around were gonna knock fuck out of each other.
Not just that the undercards would be top fighters also because there were so many decent fighters/known names.

I only watched Khan the other night as i was incidentally up, i would not stay up to watch it due to interest.


Is it possible MMA is taking away promising boxers?
 
Thought Jackson boxed well and was probably a couple of rnds up, great counter puncher. In hindsight he should of touched down and taken the count after getting tagged, payed the price for turning his back on Jermell.
Trout took some heavy shots but proved how tough he is, came on strong around the 10th but Charlo had already done enough for me.
