I’ve put us up to take one of those families. Council got in touch, explained the situation etc so there is some proactive action happening. I appreciate you wanted to score some political points there mate but just wanted to say they aren’t sleeping in shop doorways and, as a country, councils are trying to sort it. Reasons are mostly location doesn’t work or people volunteered to house them for, let’s say, questionable reasons.

The government should have done way more in supporting the process of matching volunteers with refugees of that there is no doubt. It’s been a shambles, no other way to describe it.

Disagree. A woman cannot abort after 24 weeks without exceptional reasons - the reason is that at that point the unborn child has a reasonable chance of survival outside the womb. At some point someones right to life must trump someone’s right to put them in harm.
