The Conservative Party

I’ve seen no mention of a little aside at the end, the review on the state pension age will be published shortly! Yes you’ll be dead before you can retire, why the fuck do we bother.
Yea that little snippet was thrown in mid speech and spoken about for all of 5 seconds hoping people missed it. SP age is clearly going up again to cover the triple lock payment.

She didn’t increase spending to promote growth, she just reduced tax revenue to help out the rich!

Seriously though there’s no debate about austerity now, it doesn’t work. Our government put us in a massive experiment and there’s been dozens of peer reviewed papers written in the past 15 years that show that experiment failed.

Well she cut taxes to promote growth but anyway to you’re serious point - there are two items of government spending that make our GDP grow/shrink…education and health, guess which two have avoided cuts?

TBF it’s a fairly balanced budget - those earning over £125k will pay more no matter what…everyone else will pay more if they get a pay rise and pensioners and those on benefits will get a 10%+ hike

Until you push the state pension age - even though equality laws say there is no such thing - to 80 years old then you reduce the numbers who will get the state pension never mid the rises in the future - cynical ageism

Most government spending makes GDP grow, except tax cuts for the rich. The idea that they'd spend all that on investing in business is fanciful.
