The Conservative Party

It's bizarre that they never follow an idea through to it's conclusion.

They think "How do we stop strikes? Make them illegal!" but then never manage to progress towards what will happen next, which is inevitably that nurses leave the NHS, fewer and fewer people train to become nurses and we're generally fucked in 5, 10, 15 years.
If they had the capacity to look ahead they wouldn't be conservative

I honestly believe what we are witnessing is the death throes of neo liberalism in the UK, Truss tried to push the agenda further and failed spectacularly and we are left with a PM who knows he can no longer go down that route but can still make it difficult for the next government. Sadly, there is no radical Socialist alternative to what we have, just a centrist Labour party who will accept many of the "reforms" of the last dozen years of the Tories, the failures of Blair and the ravages of Thatcher.

The Overton window is now that far rightwards it could possibly take 3 Labour governments to bring it back to even the centre ground and that is if the "left" find a way to counter the culture war bollox. Otherwise we could end up like America who have a party of the right and a party of the further right.

..NHS collapses totally or at best proves incapable of providing necessary services
..gaping chasm in health provision become obvious
..private providers flood in on a pay-for basis
..govts welcome them with open arms in desperation.

Seems pretty clear to me!

That's where America has always been.

Maybe UK might be different but I doubt this is the end of neoliberalism. The right wing seem to have mastered their mind control on a base of the electorate that isn’t going away. After a couple years people will forget how damaging these people are to the government and install them back in again.

Tories will be happy if we're not totally fucked in approximately two years at the next general election.
There's an argument that says they will leave a mega shit-show for Labour to deal with, but Tories are only interested in power.
