As someone only a couple of years younger than you I would respectfully but whole heartedly disagree. The problems this country have lie squarely at the door of ours and the previous generation. In the 1980s we sanctioned the abandonment of the post war consensus and replaced it with political, social and economic philosophies which have led us to this point. I'm not suggesting that the old consensus could hold in its then format, it needed some reform or renewal. But what we did was throw the baby out with the bathwater much as we did with the Brexit vote. None of this is on our younger generations but they are reaping what we sowed.
