Is the New Conservatives Group a new group? Can you be a Nat C member and a New Conservative member? Is the ERG still going?

Whatever happened to Conservative unity?

Can Sunak sack Anderson as deputy chair of the party?

Has Baker called Braverman racist but just used weasel words? " It is not that she is stupid but that she is unwise.”

they are fucked and fighting like rats in a sack

The Tories eh? Happy to starve anyone to ensure corporate geed succeeds - its all about leaving Labour a wasteland now and somehow Sunak thinks thats a worthy legacy - such a strange cut

I'm not so sure it's about leaving Labour a legacy of destruction, though it will be difficult for them to start sorting out the mess they will inherit.

My own view is they are all too numb between the ears to think along those lines. We are being ruled by idiots, and I mean that in the sense of the word. Children could come up with better solutions to our problems than the shower now in the cabinet.

The country is going down the drain after 13 years of their policies, and I think they genuinely think they are 'delivering' for the British people. Well, that's what they keep telling us they are focussed on.

I just wish they had focussed on a different path, one that benefitted the nation, because their policies have failed millions, left the economy in ruins, public services unable to cope, and their determination to press ahead with brexit, an ideology that is impossible to achieve in the way it was promised and promoted by them, leads me to no other conclusion than they are naive about how the world works.

The Truss and Kwarting budget, hailed by the right wing press as 'a true tory budget', is an example of their naivety, and one that has left dire consequencies for millions of people to come to terms with and will be affecting them for years.

The refusal of every cabinet minister, including the Prime Minister, when he's not hiding, answering any question put to them is also naive. Their deflection from the truth may resonate as being the right thing to say according to their advisors, but the cold hard reality they are now facing is a collapse in the polls because people have had enough of them, don't trust them, and are too right wing for the average person.

I'll just add, for what its worth, that I think Labour are missing a major attraction for me with their refusal to bring in proportional representation. PR would have prevented the extreme policies we have had forced on us by right wing extremists over the last 13 years. We wouldn't have had austerity, we wouldn't have had brexit, we wouldn't have had 23,000 hospital beds closed down, we wouldn't have lost 50,000 doctors and nurses, and the list, like the number of Police officers we have lost, goes on.

We need a balancing force against any political party having a huge majority in the House of Commons so they don't feel free to act as they please with impunity. The last 13 yerars of this administration and the destruction they have wreaked on most of us should be a wakeup call that we need to grow up as a democracy and adopt a more mature and representative electoral system.

BBC radio interview with one of the Nukes (new Conservatives) saying that if care homes paid enough we wouldn't need foreign workers, and citing how the haulage industry solved the driver shortage by putting up wages (which put up bus driver wages). Would that not have been a cause of high inflation?
