The Conservative Party

Only half of people on universal credit will get a few pennies more to keep on their wages , the rest including the poorest will get nothing , they are trying to get the poorest into work with that , they really dont appreciate child care and transport cost just to name two costs of going onto minumin wage jobs , well he has found plenty of money today so he could have left the uplift on even at ten pounds a week
Indeed.

I have regulars who travel from Nottingham to shirebrook working at sports direct. They virtually control every aspect of their lives in a parasitic way. Minimum wage and having to spend £130 a month of that on travel costs. Boils my piss they are literally worked to death to try and get a Bareable standard of living.

She actually did better than I expected. Like a lot of politicians it's when they're put on the spot that the weaknesses are shown.
And to be fair to her she had very little notice as Sir Keir was going to do the rebuttle until his vivid test came through two hours before the debate.

Have to disagree, they have spent 200 yrs refining their war on the poor, it's the icing on the cake for them, when the misery they inflict is pointed out. Deny in public, gloat and rejoice inside.....

Would never set foot in sports direct utter **** of a company

Fairly grim news underlying the headlines of the budget. Interesting that Tories are reverting to a higher tax/higher state share of GDP, but given the anaemic projected growth once we revert to norm, the OBR forecasts on inflation and the hit to trade from Brexit (see below), the need to spend public money is a not a surprise. The strain on local Govts and projected council tax rises are going to have an impact too.

Going to be interesting to see what’s in the small print which will reveal itself once the hype subsides.

Makes me laugh when they say it’s good news for drinkers etc.. as if the tax cut is actually passed on to the consumer

To be fair, up to 85 percent of child care costs can be claimed back when in work and on UC.
Plus, at least the first 295 pounds each month do not even effect the UC payment.

I got no help at all when on the old FIS, even though I was on a low income and working. Had to ask my grandparents to look after him.

She did really. I just get sick if them whinging but with no policies. Modern politics I guess.

Haha! Imagine still trying to push the labour are shit line when the government you voted in are systematically tearing the UK apart.
Have you no fucking shame? Hold them to account for fucks sake, not blindly support them because they aren't Labour.
I voted Labour in the last elections Phil. Not the GE but the last elections. Labour on a national level were shit at the time and have not improved greatly really. I could not vote Corbyn. Starmer needs to improve significantly if he's to get my vote which is not impossible but he needs to start now.

Who do you currently plan to vote for instead?

Highest tax take since the postwar Labour government...

Meanwhile, again I ask, what is this "debt is down"?

Bollocks either way. I heard some **** on TV mumbling on about we have to look after public finances because of inflation. Absolute nutter.
