Just seen Fraser Nelson on Newsnight extolling the fact that the working poor will be much better off as a result of the Budget.

Heard a single working mum on 5Live earlier who has worked out the impact of the Budget on her is about £6 per month.

If I stole £6 out of Fraser Nelson's pocket he wouldn't even notice. Fraser Nelson is a ****

They are just mocking us now

Well I never knew there was such a thing a national cheese toasty day - now I do I might celebrate with a cheese toasty which will increase my cheese intake, meaning I need to buy more cheese, meaning cheese makers earn more. So whilst it may seem a completely irrelevant question it raises awareness of the day - I can’t be arsed to check but I wouldn’t be surprised if the MP asking the question represents a large cheese manufacturer in their constituency (or maybe has shares in one… in which case I would be a lot less sympathetic to them using PMQ for their own financial benefit)

So do we have some context, how many hours was she working and how much was she earning to arrive at this £6 a month figure?

It’s always the same. A policy is announced and low and behold they drag out someone who it barely benefits or massively impacts and extrapolate how it’s such a shit policy. It’s smoke and mirrors, all policies generate winners and losers - if the winners significantly outweigh the losers then chances are it’s a good policy for society.

Everyday is national something day in this day and age.

Although I see he is using his moment to mention the carbon footprint of locally produced foods, I think as MP for Frome he may want to ask why his constituency and sommerset as a whole, has seen a spike in covid cases this last week, knife crime is up and shortage of bus drivers and what the government is doing to tackle such issues.

PMQs is for challenging the PM on their job, not waffling shit about toasties.

And tbf all government benches when either labour or tory have tended to waste PMQs to back slap or talk shite, so though not new, still a pathetic waste of time

If my memory serves me right, I think this one was started way back under the leadership of Breville Chamberlain with the slogan "Cheese in our time". Here's a picture of him after he's eaten one and is showing the empty napkin ...

from memory part time @ 20hrs per week - she wasn't dragged out of anywhere - she dialled in of her own volition and said she voted Tory - what is it with you? Conspiracy theorist?
FYI I also heard the owner of the Niu Loom Hotel in Manchester who reckoned taking everything into account - increased wage costs etc offsetting the "giveaways" he saw zero gains for his business.

The tax burden on the nation is the highest since WW2 and somehow this is the front page?

All fits in with the government’s strategy of just telling lies to cover up things that people don’t like.

And there is a £4bn tax cut on bank profits so no problem.

After the taper and increase in UC threshold my Mrs gets that £80 a month back cheers Rishi! Think the government purposely made it so only working families benefit from it and not unemployed single mothers.

Hate this government. Working families are paying for the fuck ups made since the start of the pandemic. I'm glad my taxes are paying for the whopping contracts which have made tory pals millionaires NOT!

C*nts
