The Conservative Party

If she wins the vote of confidence the Government will face a vote in parliament and lose. The tories know this. If she loses the new party leader pulls the WA and parliament have no reason to call for a no confidence vote.

She will lose today so the conservative government survives.

I agree.

Interesting but I think you underestimate the Tories wanting to remain in power. Even if JRM et al feel humiliated tonight they will not support a Corbyn led vote of no confidence in the government.

You're presuming the ERG and DUP fancy defending their seats in a GE.

The nasty party....

I think the point is that he was suspended pending investigation, until May needed his vote.
Only his vote isn't needed more than enough have already declared their intention maybe it's not a conspiracy after all.

I'd be very suspicious of the timing, especially with 2 separate suspensions lifted on Pro-May Tories just as she faces a confidence vote.
